The Dept Of Defense briefed the president this morning and told Obama that two Brazilian soldiers were killed in Iraq. To everyone's surprise, all the color drained from Obama's face. Then he collapsed onto his desk, head in his hands, visibly shaken, almost in tears. Finally, he composed himself and asked, 'Just how many is a brazilian?'

This is especially enlightening since he obviously has no understanding of a billion or trillion either.icon_rolleyes.gif

Always good to see an attempt to "update" an older joke made at George W Bush's expense and change the name to Obama.

I do get the relevance of "billion or trillion" though!

Yeah, I think it definitely was used with Bush as President. For him it was more a play on his intelligence (or lack of it seemingly). In Obama's case, it seems more to apply to the sheer dollar$ these bailouts and stimulus packages the govt is doling out. Bad funny certainly.

Ah! C'mon, it made me chuckle!
Although it does deliver much better with Bush, rather than Obama.

Sorry, Boca, but this joke should be filed in one of the FAIL threads. You may disagree with Obama on policy, but "dumb" jokes only work when the president is an idiot which Obama is not. At least when compared to George W. Bush.

As for the deficit, Bush was the one who took us from a budget surplus to record making trillion dollar deficit. It doesn't make me happy that Obama has to spend billions upon 100s of billions to get us out of our mess, but I think doing nothing would be worse.

So one could say Bush and co. squandered a Brazilian dollars on the Iraq War then? Obama can't be faulted for spending the money necessary to get us out of the mess his predecessor created. If anything he should be applauded for acting so proactively.

hey guys, relax every american will soon be a millionaire, Obama's stimulus package will include $20,000 loaves of bread, $35,000 milk, good old Kroger will let you take your cart home to wheel all that cash back to buy your necessities.

God bless Obama! He's gonna need it.

I didn't think it was the least bit funny. When people die, there isn't anything funny about it.

    What EricLA said...
    Plus...

It was former, in fact, President Bush that put forth the first planned bailout last Fall, not Obama.

You gotta understand where Boca lives, one of the most fanatically Republican parts of Florida. The Neiman Marcus there has been draped in black bunting since the November election, and the limousines fly little black flags from their antennas. In Boca Raton, that joke is still making the rounds to great laughter.
