I breathe art .. but it happen that until today I have no art piece that I'm proud of...

that's why I decided on this summer I'm gonna start doing something ...

But I do have some stuff that I made on photoshop...though I didn't touch it for a long time ..

this is my favorite, and the one that took me the longest to finish:

    I called it "independence".

I will put some in here, eventually but its just a burden scanning, cropping and all that jazz. Going to a comic book school was a headache, but worth it on some points.

I might have posted these before. This is from a comic strip I used to do at work with sharpies, highlighters and ball points. Oh, "Stabby" is a carved wooden pen from "The Nature Company" with a bear's head. He became my department mascot after we used to joke about stabbing each other with him. I actually have zero artistic ability, but it's the honest expression of my inner being that counts, right?

Here's one of my more recent pieces, it's a linoleum print depicting the Greek god Apollo holding a laurel branch (9"x12", ink on paper).

I've been doing a lot of re-reading of classical mythology and recently a friend of mine bought me a copy of the Homeric and Orphic Hymns in translation - I was really inspired by the Hymn to Apollo so I decided to "dedicate" the piece to him.

"How, then, shall I sing of you who in all ways are a worthy theme of song? For everywhere, O Phoebus, the whole range of song is fallen to you, both over the mainland that rears heifers and over the isles. All mountain-peaks and high headlands of lofty hills and rivers flowing out to the deep and beaches sloping seawards and havens of the sea are your delight. Shall I sing how at the first Leto bare you to be the joy of men, as she rested against Mount Cynthus in that rocky isle, in sea- girt Delos -- while on either hand a dark wave rolled on landwards driven by shrill winds -- whence arising you rule over all mortal men."

-Hymn to Delian Apollo. Evelyn-White (trans.)

Really Impressed. My fine motor skills make doing this kind of thing difficult for me... I always am amazed at what some people can do- both physically and creatively.

I couldn't find the finished picture so excuse the lousy"ness" The image next to the guy turned out to be a more defined tree.
