    This is who the powers that be choose and some of what they said:

    MAN OF THE WEEK: EVILGEMINI
    We love this guy. d) he may be an evil gemini but all of us who work at RealJock.com are evil cancers, which means we're strangely drawn to and simultaneously scared of him.

    Well, say no more**....*ahem*....*cough*....*rasp*...

    GEMINI

    A Gemini is kind and mean,
    ..Refinded and rotten, foul and clean;
    In other words, we must confess,
    ..He's just a schizophrenic mess;
    But though he's filled with peace and strife,
    ..He tries to live a normal life;
    He'll make a faithful friend and mate --
    ..Well, half of him, at any rate!

    CANCER

    It takes most people quite a spell
    ..To know a crab-like Cancer well;
    And when they do, we must confide,
    ..They're often sorry that they tried;
    But though his outlook's gray and grim,
    ..It pays to be a friend to him;
    If so, you'll see his spirits zoom
    ..From deep depression up to gloom!

    poems by Frank Jacobs, Mad for Better or Verse, 1968

    **well, say one thing more...Since it is no longer self-serving, why doesn't the Man of the Week get his picture on the homepage of RJ, but the Man of the Day does?

    Disclaimer: any resemblance to, or not to, anyone is purely a coincidence and totally unintended....cuz I dont know these people. ... icon_lol.gif

    ah...I'll take that as a request ... icon_lol.gif

    LEO

    A Leo comes on with a roar,
    ..And when he's through, he roars some more;
    He does this so we'll plainly see
    ..That in his world there's one boss--he!

    He's glad to share your point of view
    ..As long as it is his view, too;
    But should you cross him, have no fear --
    ..The welts will fade within a year!

    I think the point that is trying to be made, is why man of the week is not displayed somewhere. Like man of the day on the home page.

    Man of the week should be displayed with neon lights on the site somewhere.

    I think he should have to strip for us. What do you guys thinkicon_question.gificon_smile.gif

    PISCES

    The ardent Pisces loves to feel
    He's one great mass of sex appeal;
    You'd think by now that he would see
    The [guys] who date him don't agree;
    But though he falls flat on his face,
    He simply can't give up the chase;
    No wonder life's a string of crises
    For the luckless, love-sick Pisces!

    hmmmmm....hey you asked for it ... icon_lol.gif

    I don't know what my star sign is, and I'm not into that stuff anyway.

    I would be afraid what Caslon would come up with icon_smile.gif

    Do you take requests?

    My Aries ego would be hurt if I didn't get to hear my own sign's poem...

    ARIES

    Kazowee! Smash! Bang! Biff and Bam!
    No wonder Aries is the Ram!
    The only way his ego thrives
    Is butting in our private lives;
    We bolt our doors, but we can't win --
    The Aries pounds till he gets in;
    And once he's entered, have no doubt
    An atom bomb can't get him out!

    AQUARIUS

    There's little reason to discuss
    The fuzzy-brained Aquarius
    His mind is in the stratosphere;
    The rest of him is barely here;
    Psychiatrists throw up their hands
    And mutter things about his glands;
    In truth his problem is clear-cut:
    He's just a happy, harmless nut!

    SCORPIO ...oh, not good...nope

    If you should see a Scorpio,
    Then, goodness gracious, say hello!
    For if his presence you ignore
    He'll soon declare a private war;
    However, if you're over nice,
    You'll pay an even bigger price;
    For once he says your friend he'll be,
    You'll never need an enemy!

    Maybe Caslon should just give a reference site so we can all go look at the poem.

    The poems come out of a book I bought back in '68...

    Mad for Better or Verse, Frank Jacobs, 1968

    I dont know of any site for them.

    But you can buy the book for as little as one cent! ... icon_eek.gif ... Tsk! To diss such a noble tome of poetry with such a paltry price. icon_cry.gif

    Hmmm how do you get to be man of the week? Is it an accumulation of MOTDs?
