    Oh, really?

    It's my understanding that grazing / small meals often is a much better approach for the prevention of obesity and metabolic activation.

    It's also my understanding that metabolic lag is encouraged by feast / famine behavior.

    Perhaps that information doesn't hold true in Oklahoma.

    I eat 5 meals a day, approx 3 hours apart. Not shoving food in my face anymore when I have the slightest urge is a behavioral change I am working on, and probably will for a long time to come.

    Good for you. 3 hours may be a bit long. You may well find it works better with even smaller intervals and higher frequencies. When I'm eating to stay lean, I'll eat ten times a day.
