Going to the bathroom and washing your hands?

Admit it guys...when you pee and wash your hands, you only use water (if you even bother washing).

Why not use soap? All that happens when you use water is you get wet dick hands. Soap is what you are supposed to use. If you are going to the trouble of wetting and drying your hands, please use soap as well! That is why the bathroom knob is the dirtiest thing in the bathroom!

A group in my STATS class did an investigation on the frequency of people who was their hands @ our University. It is ridiculous how many college guys don't wash their hands, and if they do it's only a quick rinse. I'm definitely not a fan of "wet dick hands" and I'm proud to be the weirdo in the bathroom who hums happy birthday while scrubbing away icon_biggrin.gif

What's more disburing is the number of guys/men in the gym that don't bother either after taking a crap and then run to the equipment. icon_mad.gif

I use soap & water at home, as well as in public restrooms. And if the restroom has a doorknob, versus being doorless like in airports, when I leave I'll grasp it with a paper towel if provided. The guys before me who didn't wash their own hands left their fecal germs all over that knob. Not quite OCD I hope, but then I'm rarely sick.

Nearly every time I use soap and water. Cleanliness is next godliness as my ancestor's used to say. Pity I am agnostic. icon_confused.gif

The worst challenge: those bathrooms with air blow dryers (no towels) and a filthy handle for opening the door to get out.

Sometimes I wait in desperate hope someone will enter and I can hold the door with my foot....

As a guy who works with microbes, I am fanatical about handwashing. Generally studies show that unless you make people wash their hands, you can't count on even the most "avid" handwasher. It's too bad, too, because it seriously cuts down on communicable sicknesses like the common cold.

Eeek! Ya, I see guys do this all the time: Take a quick piss, and run your hands under water for 3 seconds, then you're off! I always wash with soap and water in public places (minus the times at home when I've woken up in the middle of the night to pee, and I'm groggy and don't wanna make noise). If I'm gonna bother wetting my hands, I might as well wash them with soap! You'll still have to dry them anyways, right?! To top things off, I work part time at a retirement home as a Dietary Aide, so hand washing and proper food handling techniques are so so so important.

I read in Men's Health this morning that people who wash their hands live on average 4.5 years longer than those who don't.

I reckon it's because people who wash their hands are a lot cleaner about everything else too.
Like people who don't shower after sex, gross!

So i know most public restrooms have the automatic flush sensors, but when faed wiht an old fashoned one, who here uses their hands to flush the toilet??? I hit it wiht my foot. The though of puttin my hand on a flush handle grosses me out. If its too high up for my foot to reach then i use a tissue to hold it, otherwise, i just do a gentle kick wiht the foot.

Ok, I've worked w/the military since the early 80's. Most of the time when I'm using a bathroom in a military building the maintenance is done by the active duty personal. Usually someone of lower rank or someone who has done something to get into trouble. The supplies are ordered and maintained by said staff most of the time also. Thus there are times that you are searching for a roll of tp let alone soap or paper towels. I find that when I don't have any soap I just rinse and ring my hands for 30 seconds. I read somewhere that free flowing water will do an acceptable job when you don't have proper soap. Now I also can't tell you how many times I've seen guy's go from both the urinals and the crapper right out the door............ Nasty, nasty, nasty. Now I'm not talking about being out in the field or on a remote tour... I'm talking an office building...... If the parents of these guy's never taught them about proper bathroom etiquette how can these kids that are being trained to be soldiers be expected to know how to drink responsibly or be able to go from the killing theater to their home lives???

Yeah, I'm kind of crazy about washing my hands. Working in a gym, I'm exposed to all kinds of germs, I'm sure. Sometimes I wash my hands before I pee (and after) because I don't want to get other people's germs on my dick.

I always use the soap when washing my hands...whats the point if you dont? What I hate is half the time the hot water isnt working where I work. I hate washing my hands in cold water! ugh!!

Also, I have always wondered if not washing your hands makes people sick then how are some people ok when they get into scat and stuff? People that get off on eating poo. I dont get it. Just nasty.

I try not to touch anything in public bathrooms other than my dick, and I know how clean my dick is, so yeah, no biggie if I don't wash my hands. I mean, if I am about to cook dinner for some friends, yeah, I'd wash em' but my dick is cleaner than touching the faucet in a public loo.

Well where i work there is 2400 people in the building. on our floor has about 600 people mostly men.

2 15 min sessions I counted how many people came in / and how many left w/o washing their hands.

Session 1 - 27 men 6 washed hands.13 of them that did not wash their hands had non fluid relieved in bathroom.

Session 2 - 2 hours after lunch. 39 guys 9 men washed their hands. could not keep track of the other details.

So.. I basically come in use paper on everything and then after done.. goto paper towel dispenser and get towel's that hang then wash hands very very well then use towel ... dry use towel to get out and then trash.

I generally never touch their keyboards or desks or chairs. Im coach in tech support.

I lick my hands after I pee... and the urinal too.

    icon_rolleyes.gificon_lol.gif

Yes, I rarely use soap in public urinals too... gawd. Who knows WHERE THAT SOAP HAS BEEN?! icon_eek.gif

Seriously, the only things I try to never do:

    1) NEVER take a crap in a public toilet... ever.

    2) Try not to touch anything in the public bathroom (doorknobs/flush handles/toilet rims, etc.)
