I am LITERALLY JUST about to watch it. I'll let you know in 2 hours

Lots of loose ends to tie up though. I wonder if they're gonna pull it off.

It was sooooooo good! I thought they did a great job of tying all the loose ends together plus throw in a few more twists.

I don't know what I am going to do on Friday nights now!

It was a great ending. I was surprised the FTL worked after the ship took so much damage because in past episodes it was often the first thing to fail. The previews for Caprica look good, it seems like it may be more interesting than I thought it would be.

Great ending. We were all like "WHAT?" My one friend was nearly in tears about the ending.

I thought it was great, and it had a number of genuinely touching moments.

I want to tell the guys out there that have shied away from it but are sci-fi fans to give it a chance - the first season takes a while to get going. It will be a while before we get another sci-fi show with this much dramatic and moral heft.

Oh and big thanks to the costume designer for making everyone show off their guns at all times. Helo is super-sexy and you just know the actor playing Anders was doing push-ups between takes to keep his pecs pumped up for the last few episodes. Oh and Apollo is frigging hot as hell as well. Chief was more cuddly. And Sharon, Stabuck and 6 did their share of keep things on the sexy side. I liked Gaeta and suspected his 'big secret' was he was gay. But for such a horny show I wish they'd had a little bit more gay content.

Anyway - great show and fuck Cher, fuck Madonna, fuck Judy, fuck Liza fuck them all - you need to see Roslin's raging fury siren monologue ending with 'I'm coming for ALL OF YOU!" A she-wolf ready to tear out your throat with her bare teeth - she's lost everything and is beyond fear and soaked in vengeance.

Absolutely electrifying.

Oh and someone needs to give Lucy Lawless more work. She's badass.

This is really an oddity for me. Being a HUGE Star Trek and Star Wars fan, you would think I would be after this series... my bf watches it and never misses it, but I've never had the time to watch (other than reruns of the old "Battlestar" series with Lorne Greene.

He tells me some of the changes, but I've never seen it, so it isn't something I really pay much attention to......

You will get to watch Caprica or Stargate Universe. Those both look to be great shows. I really liked the finale, but I thought that in the end, it was a tad preachy. I did like how they incorporated some of the original theme music into it. That was a nice tribute.

I thought it was cool, but wanted to yank my hair out with the prolonged earth ending with commercial breaks. It was sad to see that hot guy sam have to fly into the sun

I'm a sci-fi fan: but sorry - I just have never been able to get into BSG- in none of its reincarnations. I don't know .. something about it has always bugged da hell outta me.

Oh yeah Lucy Lawless is good- Me likey her Especially in her Xena phase

It's not quite the difference between the Adam West Batman series and Christian Bale in The Dark Knight, but there's a huge distinction between the old and new series.

Start with the miniseries, and I think you'll enjoy it. In my humble opinion, the only comparable epic SF TV series was Babylon 5, and I think BSG is certainly darker and more visceral (if not quite as intricately and expertly plotted as B5.)

Would have to agree with you on B5

Thank God for TiVo...and even so, we were thinking about getting the commercial-free iTunes download today (but couldn't wait!)

I am such a geek.

I agree on ALL those points.

BTW, Gaeta was gay. Lt. Hoshi was his lover. Or maybe he was bi as he had a relationship on New Caprica with an Eight as well.

I think that it was the perfect ending. I feel really complete, which I didn't think would happen. I'm also thrilled to know that I'm not the only nerd on this site.

Yeah, I kinda teared up towards the end. I thought it was a great ending, but I knew some of my friends were gonna hate it. And they kinda did...

I loved the series and started watching S1 in reruns before S2 started. I'm strangely indifferent to the ending. I liked the first hour a lot, but at the end it just limped out. The only wtf moment was Kara disappearing.

I'm out to lunch on this - I think I'll have to re-watch all of season 4 and see how I feel. All in all, I liked it - especially the epic robot battle scene with the centurion 2.0 beating the hell out of the centurion 1.0, grabbing it by the neck and blowing a hole through its head.

buahahahahahahahaha

It 'was' a tad preachy...but I liked the 'it doesn't like that name' comment. Made me chuckle, hehe.

And IMO Mary Mcdonnell needs like, just about every tv award possible for her work in this series. She has CONSISTENTLY delivered each and every time (not that I really think anyone did 'poorly' per se) but MAN...from her original "THROW IT OUT THE AIRLOCK!!" moments all the way to her "NO! Not now... not ever. Do you hear me! I will use every cannon, every bomb, every bullet, every weapon I have down to my own eye teeth to end you. I swear it! I'm coming for all of you!" EVERY line she's had to hit with every emotion at her disposal....she did it.

I'm sad it's over.

I really liked it, and will definitely need to watch it again. I think most things wrapped up well enough, although the religious/mystical elements weren't necessary. I really hope someone gets some awards for this show. If Mary doesn't deserve something, who does?
(by the way, I'm a little mad at her for kicking that hot stud out of her bed!)

He WAS hot. But at least she gave him nookie first and THEN was like uh, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out!!

I can appreciate that

Neither could I get into this series, although I used to watch Star Trek..yet never really got into Star Whores...I mean Wars (the "whore" comment was for Speilberg...he'd do anything for a buck!).
My BF and his brother really got into BSG. I've watched a few epis ....just enough to see the hunks.... Adama's son was a hottie, so was the guy in a coma near the end. Otherwise...I'd really have to watch from the get-go to make a judgment on it. I think the Loren Green series left such a bad impression I could never get into this incarnation.....

I'm not sure if I liked the ending either.
