Are you interested in learning about or competing in a triathlon? Looking for a group to swim, bike, or run with? Maybe you're just not sure where to go to brunch next weekend. Come find out about the Chicago Razors, Sunday, March 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Mary's Attic in Andersonville. We'll have a mimosa brunch ($20 at the door) and a good time.

Meet other guys interested in triathlon and find out about our upcoming triathlon training program. We don't have dues or regularly scheduled meetings, we're just a group of guys who are serious about keeping fit, making new friends, and competing in some of the Midwest's (and beyond) best-known triathlons and other races.

Have questions? Drop me a line or check out the links below.

Row Buddy, I'm not in Chicago, but be careful about taking solid food in race conditions, especially when it's hot. You may be able to tolerate solids at a normal training pace, but when you're working hard, the stomach may rebel. Better to stick to liquid or semi-liquid forms of nutrition (gatorade or the equivalent, gels and cliff blocks should be fine). You should not need to take in too much calorically for a sprint distance. The body should have enough glycogen for 1:15 to 1:30 effort.

The fact that this triathlon group exists makes me want to move to Chicago.

Anyone have a job for me there?
