Any advice on going to the gym even though your job exhausts you physically? I know diet is a key factor but unsure on how to incorporate a gym routine into the mix without it effecting your work performance. I would assume the days off of work should also be rest days from the gym.

Nah its easier to go to the gym on your days off. id say make your busiest day your rest day. My job is physically exasuting too, but your body will get used to teh workload easy and your job will be easier too

I had the same issue until I started hitting the gym at 5am before work. Always way too tired at the end of the day to think about working out. The early morning workouts keep my energy level good through about noon then I use what I eat to keep my energy levels up until I am done with work for the day. The down side is I am ready to go to bed at 8 or 9.

i;m going through a similar situation.. I already dance about 20 hours a week, with academic classes as well... I feel like my body is too exhausted to go to the gym.. and when i do have days off, I'm never wanting to hit that gym...

BUT, for me.. It might be helpful to find a scheduled group oriented exercise.. Its not for everyone, but i enjoy seeing similar faces and saying hi and stuff.. and its scheduled, so you are either there or not.. Find something fun... I never thought i'd like shadow boxing, but its so addicting icon_biggrin.gif
