    You did not meet Caslon.

You merely met one of his earthly avatars.

The Caslon rules the order of the cosmos from his throne on high, surrounded by LOLcats.

    Praise to the Caslon.

I am green with envy that you got to meet two of RJ's most interesting people. Hope the DC trip was all you hoped it would be DJ.

We are thinking about going to DC for our vacation this year. I've never been, and it's within reasonable driving distance.

What you don't remember is that you also met me, after I put a roofie in your drink. Don't worry, the flashbacks will hit in a month or so. I doubt they'll be traumatic though. icon_twisted.gif

When I first glimpsed DancerJack coming up the street, I couldnt help but exclaim...

    funny pictures

And as soon as they recognized me, they immediately showed the right attitude....

    funny pictures

So we all got along wonderfully!!!

It was a delightful dinner with Jack, Beaux, and Scott. I only wish it could have been longer. And I wished I could have been facing to see the expressions on the faces of the people at the table behind me. Lordy, the stories Jack and Scott have to tell!!!!

    Life is good!

Thank you for fitting the dinner into your schedule up here.

Twice a posting has been placed on RJ for a DC meet up and nobody responded.

But maybe if we made it more specific...a NoVa meetup... and a few of us planned a dinner out...let's see there's DClifter, Beaux, myself, and maybe TheIstrat? We had dinner in Shirlington...that woud be central for all of us but TheIstrat.

Here I was trying to save the last shred of your masculine dignity and let you open your own door. .....I really should have gone with that other guy at the hotel! ... icon_rolleyes.gif

And I stopped myself from posting something asking you to please stop calling it a DC gathering if you are going to be meeting in Virginia (which you already did) out of fear of sounding like a snob. icon_smile.gif

But seriously, once you cross Memorial or Roosevelt Bridge its all sprawl so I'm not sure how someone from Alexandria can judge. Well, unless you live in Old Town. Then you can judge away. icon_wink.gif

Hmmm. I think I will have to get my passport renewed if I am going to venture into DC icon_razz.gif

This coming from a guy with DC in his username! What? Was Arlingtonlifterguy taken? icon_lol.gif

And you'll need more than a passport. I also recommend various vaccinations and a bullet proof vest. Remember, don't look strangers in the eye, and if anyone asks for spare change, ignore them and quickly walk away.
