Has anyone seen this? I think its funny.

This guy is talking to an oven, who tells him to do things. The guy is hesitant because he apparently once put his hand in the oven.

So the oven says "We both enjoyed that," tells him to make some new sub, and says "Put it in me."

Then, when dude is saying the price of this product, the oven tells him to "say it sexier"

I chuckle every time it comes on.

I think the name of their new sandwich is funny, in a dirty way.

    Toasty Torpedo

    What were they thinking? icon_lol.gif

Quiznos is a bit more obvious than the new Progressive Insurance commercial when the two guys go in for one to get car insurance.

Am I the only one who thought there were homoerotic undertones?

    Oh-ho-ho-ho-nooooo!
    ROFLOL

    Thanks, Tapper.

    Is that really on television?
I was laughing out loud, really!

I've never wanted to top an oven before, but I'm considering it after watching that commercial.

That's GREAT advertising. Sex sells. Sex with an oven = major win!

I think Quiznos' advertising firm decided to go ball's out against the "Five Dollar Foot Long" sexual innuendo. In your face has always been more effective.

Yeah I've seen that one, they have a different version too where he says something involving a rag or towel, like cleaning out the oven but in sexual innuendo.

Pretty funny but I don't see how those commercials are going to stay on for too long like that !

he didn't put his hand in the oven.. if you notice he looks at his crotch and says "I'm not doing that again.. that burned"

    Hilarious commercial!

Top an oven, Tapper? I worry about you, man.... icon_smile.gif
I think the commercial is actually pretty funny, as is the name... "Toasty Torpedo." Could you possibly get any more Freudian?

So far I have only seen this commercial during prime time. Are they showing it earlier or is this an age-time appropriate commercial?

And of course the $64,000 question... any of you going to try or have tried that sandwich?

Clearly homoerotic. And the imagery of the Toasty Torpedo is very phallic, like the way they slide it into the paper wrapper, and picture it in profile. Thanks for sharing, because I haven't seen this on TV here in Florida.

Definitely - and the "over a foot long", and even the "mmm..mmm..mmm..mmm..mmm"s at the end are all a play on the penis/gay theme.

    Very well done, mind you.

There are two versions of the commercial, I saw one on Adult Swim and it was definitely more racy than the version I saw later on the History Channel. The dialogue was more overtly sexual. I know what an odd combination of channel surfing for one night.

I saw it and thought it was funny and memorable. That said, I already had enough concerns about the cleanliness of my local Quizno's without this mental image running through my head.

And it isn't as good as the Subway $5 Footlong jingle. Those geniuses deserve a Grammy, I tell you.

Saw the commercial last night...it reminded me of "2001 A Space Odessy." Great commercial though! icon_wink.gif

just saw it again for the 5th time tonight. It's pretty funny and definitely more than a bit homosexual.....even if it is an oven.

I'm just glad that Quiznos is no longer used those infuriating sock puppets in their commercials. Voices like nails on a chalkboard is not a good way to get people to buy your product, unless you're selling ear plugs.

soooooo... i FOR SURE went to quiznos hungover on sunday - saw the torpedos on the menu and asked about them

the dude showed me the bun and it looks like a 14 inch cock...

makes the commercial even more appropriate.

but they're real skinny so i didn't get one

Just saw it for the first time on TV tonight. I loved it. I'm surprised it wasn't banned for being so sexual. Fabulous.

I saw an edited version of it today, they replaced "sexier" with something less risque. icon_sad.gif
