This book was far better than the Da Vinci Code, in my opinion. So I hope they don't botch this movie.

If Hollywood gets out of a slump, I think it will be because writers decide to have original ideas and not rely on the crutches of books already done by someone else. Almost all movies nowadays are based off books, comic books, video games, tv shows, movies stolen from other countries/times. USA used to be a country of innovators who took risks (and some still do ie Cloverfield, Saw, Alien, among others), not who went to the top selling book lists and said let's ride the wave. Get some balls!

I agree, except for one HUGE flaw in logic, which I won't give away here. Hopefully, the screenplay edits that out.

But even with that flaw, the book was utterly engrossing. I could not put it down.

The problem with the movie version of The DaVinci Code is that it couldnt go off into the historical details like the book could, so the movie moved along without the context that the book provided. For me TDaVC movie was kind of flat and 2 dimensional.

I havent read Angels and Demons, so I dont know if that could possibly be a problem again.

I hope they kick some excitement into Tom Hanks' acting...THAT, at least, will be worth the price of the popcorn!

All of Dan Brown's books are the exact same. I hope his books stop turning into movies here.

tDaVC movie wasn't what the fanatics of the book wanted, grant there are crazies out there who think all of what Brown wrote was PURE FACT. Nonetheless, a lot of people claim Angels and Demons will be much better.

It does look good but I may wait until the DVD. I'm kinda tired of hearing about the Illuminaughty.

If it does you could watch the documentary that came out. I think it is already on DVD.

Not all that excited about the movie. The story in the other other one (yes I know this comes first) was predictable.
