This guy http://realjock.com/profile/209007/ has been contacting me and stuff...he is not verified so after a good conversation we had together I asked him if he had a way to prove his profile wasn't fake...he took it as an insult... he says he never doubted I wasnt real...and we stopped talking. Anyway I would like to know, is it wrong to ask this? His profile looks like all the pics were modeled, I had strong reasons to think he could be a fake.

I don't see what's insulting about it. It takes little effort to verify your profile here.

edit - his pics all look like they are from a professional shoot and snagged off the web. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a fake account.

It depends. If you have had bad experiences with fakers in the past and ask everyone who is not verified for some proof, then no one should be insulted by it. If you asked him and him alone because of what he was saying and how he was acting, then he can be justified in feeling insulted.

No. If people won´t verify or cam then I tend not to believe them either.

It is sad, but a lot of people feel the need to fake who they are on the internet. If the guy can´t understand that then I suspect that he has some issues going on. The pìctures do look rather modelled (and perhaps he´s a model... ) but people who use that kind of picture need to understand it does make it look more questionable, and though they may get fed up with the question they have no right to. A few cell phone in the mirror pics of the same person would squash much of the suspicion. Or VERIFY. There are models on this site, and a large number of very very attractive guys. this can create feelings of insecurity in the rest of us icon_confused.gif Hence people faking,...

"he says he never doubted I wasnt real."

    You are verified.

(so NOW I understand why you haven´t been replying to me on msn... you traitor icon_eek.gif Now when did we arrange for the erm "verification" c2c again?)

I take it as somewhat of an insult - especially since my profile is VERIFIED by RealJock.

Have had issues in the past with people stealing my photos, etc .. so I understand ... but if the profile is indeed verified, I wanna be like "the icon is there for a reason dumbass!"

I agree. I would interpret his response as a reaction to being busted.

I'd be flattered if someone thought my account was fake, it would mean they think I'm unbelievably hot.

Sadly then I think fake. Pity as the guy in the pics is hot. There are quite a lot of profiles on here I´d not believe if they weren´t verified. THe only one on his profile that doesn´t look staged is the second one.

Ummmm, yeah that's a safety measure for you and a totally valid question, especially if you two were ever thinking about meeting. After looking at his profile it looks like a bunch of magazine photos of a hot guy that were scanned into the computer. He also has nothing about himself on his profile and that drives me crazy. What, you can't take five seconds and put something like "Hi, I live here, I do this, I like this and I'm looking for this".icon_rolleyes.gif

He wouldn't have freaked out if he had nothing to hide. Seems fishy to me bud.

    BUAHAHAHA, thats so creepy lol.

Since he created his profile just yesterday I didnt find weird that his personal description was empty let alone he was unverified. So I started talking to him, the only thing I asked him was a party picture, a picture with friends...he told me he didnt have any of those...and I was just thinking "that sounds 100% fake" Who the hell doesnt have a picture with friends??????

Absolutely, it's an insult to ask someone if their profile is fake.
Regardless of what you think of his profile, common decency dictates that you have to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Whether it matters, depends on your intentions towards the guy.
If you plan to meet him, you'll find out soon enough if he's the real deal.
If you had asked me if my profile was fake, I would have dumped you, too.

No it's not an insult. If you don't have anything to hide then what's the problem?
