I've had a leaked copy of the CD for months. It's terrible! Nothing new or exciting from the patron saint of drunken drug induced behavior.

Her record company states they upped the release date to Oct. 30th because the disc was already leaked. My friends and I say they upped the drop date to burn up her contract.

A New York Daily News review is less than favorable, noting the overwhelming presence of, "studio trickery", making her sound like a "Brit Bot". "If a blow-up sex doll could sing, this is what she'd sound like," wrote critic, Jim Farber. "In terms of studio trickery, Paris Hilton's album was practically 'unplugged' compared to this." Pete Paphides wrote, "certain songs wouldn't have sounded too different if her vocal were totally erased."

Just another celeb who makes up for lack of any real talent with money earned thru sex appeal and envy driven americans.

    Trance:

She really doesnt have that much sex appeal anymore... I mean did u see the VMA performance of the afront of a video that was set on "Gimme More"? That video made LaToya Jackson's "Heart Don't Lie" look like a stellar work of filmic art!

    I agree (shes amazing)

what is music to one person might not be to someone else.

but the moment her shit plays in the club you're all shakin' your asses

    icon_eek.gif

yeah stripper I had a lot of tracks leaked too, but most of the stuff were demos. Same songs without the finishing touches (effects, notes, background) I have almost every copy of those songs, but they are all different from whats on her finished piece.

OH i will admit. "Gimme More" is the deal! (She didn't write it though and she looks a drunken mess in the video... what happened to our strong trained dancer?)

I full on LIVE for "Gimme More" actually. Danced to it myself on Sunday. But the rest is sheer and utter crap. I'm really sad about that because i was really looking forward to it all after i heard "Gimme More".

As far as the leaked demo tracks, i've heard the leaked crap, the finished crap, crap that didn't make it on the album, remixed crap, and all the rest... it's still... crap.

There is one song, can't remember the title, which samples "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)" which is decent... but my G-d i wanted to puncture my ear drums when i heard "Hot As Ice". The rest... well see above HA HA HA

OH no... won't be buying it icon_sad.gif

SERIOUSLY i wanted the record to be good. I like Britney and i have always thought that she was a very strong dancer. I mean when she prepped her double pirouette in the "Baby One More Time" video i screamed "OH MY GOD... She prepped her turn!!!! She know's what she's doing". Now i wonder if she can even SAY the word pirouette much less bust out a simple double.

Not buying blackout isn't gonna help her emotionally. I may love her sound but it doesn't mean I don't see her going through stuff. Everyone does, we just see hers daily cause shes famous. I live in NYC...her behavior isn't so out there from what I see daily...

The only reason this will sell like hotcakes is because she cannot stay out of the news and people want this for the car-wreck factor. If it sucks, everyone has a good laugh. If it's good, few things are as coveted as a bona-fide comeback.

Either way, no one has played the US PR/marketing machine as well as her since Madonna in the '80s and early '90s.

Oh i know, i just thought it was an interesting little tidbit as it were.

Tranqu-ing her might help her emotionally. JK On that front i get WHY she is crazy now, much like MJ. She didn't have a childhood and so internally i am sure she's all conflicted and things. Just cause i think the new album is a stink doen't mean i dont wish her less suffering in her life.

PS: Rugger... nobody STILL does it better than the Goddess Madonna. Just sayin ;)

We should all pause and be grateful that we weren't famous as children.

SR: Madonna takes a higher road these days, but at a time when taking the low road gets you the most PR. In '07 Britney wins, but Madonna is better (classier?!) in my book.

    Rugger:

It's an age thing. Though when Madonna was being crazy she claims to have had a reason, and her reasoning tended to actually make sense. The "Sex" book, the "Like a Prayer" video, "Papa Don't Preach" all artistically had merit and meaning...

Though i still wonder what she was thinking when she dated Dennis Rodman?!?!

PS: Listening to "Evita" right now!

I love how no one ever said anything about Madonnas lack of voice

American Life, Confessions on a dance floor....shes no Celine Dion herself (shes just as computerized a lot of the time).

I suppose its all who you grow up with...I knew the Madonna classics but her new stuff never grasped me. I guess I connected emotionally in a positive way to Britney first hence cultivating my choice for her over Madonna.

though Madonna and JT are gonna be hot (here's hoping)

    Slayer:

At least Madonna ALWAYS sings live... again.. just sayin. Dont you rememeber the big stink when she did Hollywood with Brit and Christina and Missy. Madonna said the only way they could do the performance was if they ALL sang live. Christina claims that Brit went behind M's back and used a vocal track at the last min.

And as for lack of voice... "Evita" and "Ray Of Light" show the actual merits of her vocals. She has also never had to have surgery for vocal nodes, which come from "screaming" instead of singing like some of the singers who people think have amazing voices and really don't, Houston, Christina... even JT.

Physiologically that means that she uses what she has and continues to train it and vocalize... she's taking care of her instrument.

PS: I have leaked Madonna tracks too Slayer. The hip-hop/R&B turf isnt so foreign for the Goddess, but the stuff is really good. Its definately Timbaland and JT sounding, but there is a very strong feel of something different that is added to the production.
