Talking about for your face guys!

I have the toughest beard known to mankind and I have always had the best success with Mach 3 cartridges. But basically I have to use a new blade every time I shave. This makes it so damn expensive.

Do you have a tough beard? Is there an alternative to the multi-blade cartridges that might not cost as much? Is there anything you do to preserve the life of the blade?

    Thanks,for the suggestions.... icon_biggrin.gif

I use Mach 3. Best blade I have ever used, but one lasts me months. It must be costing you a fortune if the price here in Ireland is anything to go by.

I think you need to invest in a lawn mower icon_lol.gif

When do you shave? Before or after a shower? Just after is the best time as your beard is much softer. That may help a bit. I think you can still get the razor where you can replace the individual blades. That should be cheaper if one blade lasts for one shave.

Buy Mach3 refills at Costco. They're so much cheaper. I've tried the Fusion blades and wasn't too satisfied.. The shaving head is so huge, it's hard to get a good shave around the chin and under the nose. I'd recommend it for shaving legs/body.

Blades get dull from regular usage. But they also get dull from being exposed to water/moisture (oxidation). I've read somewhere that some guys keep their Mach3 or whatever submersed in some alcohol. Not sure if that really works, but it might be worth a try.
