Hi guys - I'm looking for a little advice.

First, here's where I'm at: I'm 6'2, 180 lbs, very trim and toned. I lift weights 3 times a week for 40 minutes and do light cardio two days a week. I also play intense tennis 2-3 times a week. I've been following the Men's Health Abs Diet pretty strictly for three months.

Now, the problem: While I've seen a lot more definition and moderate muscle growth, I just can't seem to get the spots on the sides of my lower back to tighten up. I want that really tight, tapered waistline and am not sure what else I can do to get it. Specific exercises? More cardio? More extreme diet? If anyone else has some wisdom to share on this pesky body part, I would really appreciate it.

Cardio and muscle burn fat, and burn more than you take in.

No expert here, but I agree about ramping up the fat burning w/ anything that spikes your metabolism or just burns more calories.
Just having the extra muscle will burn more calories so you've got that going for you.

There are back extension machines and "skydiving position" workout moves.
...But they say you can't remove fat by targeting that specific area in workouts.

Ran across this thread recently that might have something in it of interest:
