I'm totally lost as to what I should do for the my first week of summer vacation this year... It's the last week of June (Pride here in NY). I was originally going to go to Miami, but I missed Pride last year, and am not repeating.

Where can I go like during the week (like monday to thursday) and still have a good time?

    I need help guys!!!!!

I'd take a road trip to a neighboring state. PA and CT (or even MA) are beautiful during June. What about a trip out to the Cape and Islands? I spent a summer on Martha's Vineyard and had an awesome time.

If it were me, I'd visit Great Adventure, Hershey Park, Dorney Park and Six Flag's New England - one per day! I actually did that with three friends before and had the best time!!

Good heavens, is that thing still around? I used to take my kids there and it was seedy even back then.

Styrgan, you could just drive down the Jersey Shore...Cape May is a wonderful little town, and you could take the ferry to Lewes in Delaware.

That would be excellent advice normally...

But I spend almost my entire summer down at Asbury, Point Pleasant, and Long Branch.

When it's nice out, I tell my boss I'm leaving early and heading down to the beach. Usually make it there by like 2ish to catch some rays!!!!

Provincetown! Lobsters, whale-watching, the beauty of the Cape, and the beauty of the men -- where else could you get such a total vacation package, in every sense of the word?

They were bought by Cedar Fair (the parent company of Cedar Point in Ohio) and the park actually has a pretty neat little collection of coasters and rides. Depending on the day you go (and the people who show up) it can be an awesome day or the most annoying day ever.

Hershey Park is better because, if for no other reason, the air smells like chocolate.
