Random Sh*t in My Subject Line

So, I had an interview this weekend and wrote the guy an email thanking him for his time and telling him I was excited to work for him, etc. I used an email that he had written to me and pressed reply. Somehow, he got an email from me that had the subject line: "My mono is getting worse...could turn into stereo".

I promise you I didn't write this; I've never even heard anybody say this? WTF?

Has anything like this happened to any of you?

(Btw, he just said 'very interesting subject line', but still offered me the job. I told him I had no idea how this had happened.)

Accidental cut and paste? That's quite the humorous subject line though. Interesting way to get his attention, that's for sure. icon_smile.gif

That subject line could have been a LOT worse.

And no, that's never happened to me.

Hehe, interesting. Non-malicious virus created to cause little hiccups like that?

Were you using a web based email account, or a email software?

If you use a software, you may have a virus.

I woudnt be too concerned until your mono starts to turn into surround-sound.... icon_eek.gif

OMG! Subject-Line Tourette's! ....Well, I guess as long as the job doesnt involve writing emails, you should be ok. .... icon_lol.gif

What did the recipient say after he received that?

Did it affect your chances for the job, do you know?

Yeah, sounds like you may have a trojan horse, worm, or bot on your computer. They can often infect your email and get into your address book. You should check your security, antivirus, etc

Yeah, it said that in my sent box. The body of the email had not changed, tho, thank god. He just sent a reply telling me 'no worries', but it still irks me, lol. Like rnchr said...it could have been A LOT worse. I guess I should be thankful!
