This expression 'I don't care' does bother me at times especially when I try to introduce a topic of conversation. I feel like 'cut off', so I just stop what I want to say.

    Do you have similar encounters?

You feel "like cut off"? I should hope so, cuz you were.

Your correct response is "thank you" followed by silence. Silence can say so much more than words sometimes.

Exactly, "he" doesn't care, not everyone so why you'd let it bother you, I'm not sure. Lol, but if you ever get an entire thread of posters after you for saying something, that's fun. That don't bother me either, it's not easy being the only one right on a full thread. LOL, if this is stemming from a previos thread where the OP was cut off, I ask politely to be directed to that thread.

Yeah, I use that phrase a lot. But not cause it's not the center of my point, but because there's something else to what I'm feeling, thinking, or explaining than the message I'm negating and dismissing with my "I don't care"s. You should build up some strength to deal with this kind of stuff and deal with it without getting the feeling of being cut off, because you may just lose any chance you had of understanding the overall meaning, and may find yourself unable to deal with the slightest breeze once you become more sensitive cause of the overprotecting you do for your psychi. But that's just my opinion, I don't know what really up. I don't seem to care enough to find out.

I'm that person that goes off topic all the time, so while I don't get the "I don't care" in words...I do get a lot of confusion. When my friends are so bold as to say something smart, I usually say something like "shut up, terrorist" and continue on.
