    You're having a laugh, surely.

    Justin Timberlake?

I'm with MikePhil - my list wouldn't include pampered and plucked little celebrity boys.

    Steve McQueen.

    Actor, Competitive Racer, Pilot, Humanitarian....

Not built, not model-quality - very human, very fallable, but definitely a masculine icon.

Chuckle - You'll LOVE this one...

    "Masculine men 'are healthier'
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/2969391.stm

Russell Crowe: seen by many as a 'masculine' man
Men who sport chiselled jaws and classic "masculine" facial features are actually healthier than their less manly peers, researchers suggest. And women who choose them may do so because they are instinctively looking for a healthier mate, they say.

However, Australian researchers found that although adolescent males with more masculine faces had better health, they were not necessarily seen as more attractive.

So it may be that women are, deep down, aiming to attract the healthiest, rather than the most attractive, father for their children.

Femininity in teenage girls' faces is perceived as a sign of being healthy and attractive, but there was no link with how healthy they actually were.

The theory that masculine faces in men may be seen as "healthier" is connected to the effect of testosterone on the immune system. ..."

    Christian Bale as Batman...mmmm

But where is Ryan Reynolds? Did anyone see him without his shirt in Blade Trinity? And he is a funny guy! PLus he is also Canadian!

And WHAT ABOUT SEAN CONNERY? He was the original 007...and really lets be honest, anyone playing or who has played bond qualifies.

    Justin Timberlake is a mary!

Ryan Reynolds has a great bod, but he is far from manly.
He is in that Dane Cook category, funny not manly.

Sean Connery def manly. Paul Newman, Steve McQueen also.icon_cool.gif

Does anyone think it's strange that four of the guys who are supposed to be the best representatives of our gender make a living pretending to be someone else?

I understand why they were picked (esp. Daniel Craig), but lists like the ones Aero and ITJock added make more sense to me.

Agreed with Aero on Mandela for his soul and on Alexander the Great for his open sexual preference.

Did like the shot of Brad Pitt's rear in the movie about Troy but where was his man lover in the movie except on the pyre. Get real Brad. Isn't part of masculinity about bravery!!

Another actor, true, but I like the masculine looks of Viggo Mortensen.

Actors and other rich and famous types aside some of the Spanish guys I work-out with exude (is that a word) masculinity plus+++. Concentration is a must.
