This may be a delayed report on the recent Dubai International Jazz Festival (coinciding my laptop's illness), but I was wondering if there are still solid fanatics who get so fired up by seeing their favorite bands that they surely know how to get the most fun out of any opportunity to see them perform live?

I have been very passionate with my favorite artists and one of the bands who I have seen live for the first time, after being a devout follower of their music since 1992 is UK acid jazz band Incognito. It's just all of a sudden, I had the vision and urge to just be creative and make sure that their first Middle East gig would be memorable as it is gonna be for me. Hence...

I printed my own commerative shirt and made a sparkling Coghead tiara...

and created colorful placards as declaration of my lurve...

and danced in the middle like no one's watching...

and most of all, having the time of my life!

    Of course, I never lipsynch!!!

...surely, the papz had a field day, too! icon_cool.gif

So, how far have you gone with your crazy antics to make such an impact enjoying yourselves to the max? icon_razz.gificon_wink.gificon_cool.gif

LOL I'm a coghead too as you know Zim, though I've never put that much effort into a concert icon_biggrin.gif but hats off to that.

I don't lip sync either. with Incognito, dancing and singing along is just compulsory.

Hey! That looks like you had an AWESOME time! I only wish there was something in my area I could be so pumped about as to go and let loose and have a blast. I moved to Idaho a little too late, as I missed Wicked in Salt Lake City by a few weeks. (grr) Nothing has shown up since. As far as I know.

I've been cooped up in my town for the past three weeks just working and chilling at my apartment.

    Depressing isn't it?

Oh good grief. junknemesis looks like an earnest young man that quickly discovers something earnest going on below his belt that's busy making pup-tents at the most inopportune moments.....hehehehicon_wink.gif

icon_biggrin.gif how nice, a dedication to me.

I was very much into most that came out of the acid jazz label in the early 90's, and yes probably only a few outside of europe know what that was about.
