Coffee Lessens the Pain of Exercise

    That cup of coffee that many gym rats, bikers and runners swill before a workout does more than energize them. It kills some of the pain of athletic exertion, a new study suggests. And it works regardless of whether a person already had a coffee habit or not.

    What do you folks think?

    Interesting. I always thought it was kind of odd to see people drinking their Starbucks in the gym.

    I usually have coffee before going to the gym since it can improve performance. The times I missed coffee I don't remember exercise being any more painful. I'll have to think more about it; the next time I miss my coffee.

    I'm just kinda getting into working out...What pain? I'd like it a lot more if there was pain. icon_mad.gif

    Not sure about pre workout. But I can say for me having a coffee post workout always speeds my recovery. I find that I am never as sore the following days if I have coffee after my workout.
