Would anyone be game for a hike during the weekends? I'm looking to form a group of athletically-minded/health-conscious gents who're looking to make the most of their environment. Living in Northern California, we have the pleasure of being within proximity to some of the nation's most scenic landscapes, why not make the most of it?

Each weekend a few friends and I gather to try out various trails and hikes available, a chance to get out without spending $.

This is purely a group set for hiking, nothing raunchy folks--I know you gays 'n your "seedy" ways.

    Post here if you're interested!

Note: Planning a trip to Yosemite this weekend, gimme a heads up.

I'm game. Unfortunately I am in an all-day class this weekend and the next, so I can't go on this Yosemite trip, but I'm up for going on hikes subsequent to that.

In general, I'm game too! But this week (and actually next week too) I'm busy. I've just started discovering some cool areas myself.

I'm in fro a trip or two. I can't make it this weekend, but I am usually not on the road on weekends and I can be available for a day-trip to someplace.
I go on m/c rides out towards Jackson a lot and it looks like there are some cool hiking trails up that way. Also I used to hike Mt.Tam and Muir a lot when I lived in Marin and that is always a blast. Good for biking too!

Nice, we just finished the Matt Davis, Boot Jack, and Stinson Beach hikes--through Muir and Mt. Tamalpais.

Checked out Mt. St. Helena too, looking for new ideas.

Good to know folks are interested, great way to make new amigos and enjoy the outdoors as well.

San Francisco hiking club has this shit down. You can meet at the Safeway on Market St and save the drive money too ( they split the car pool expenses) . They find great places to hike that I could never find myself.

This is mainly for those of us who don't want to commute to the city. Rather, organize outside of this org, on a smaller scale, and primarily focused on RJ members--a chance to meet.

I wouldn't be able to go. I don't live there...

But man, for a chance to meet you...

Now I'm depressed on a geographic scale.

Alright queers and queerettes, this weekend is coming up and I want to know whose available for a trek into the wilderness--right before it's inevitable conversion into a strip-mall and/or parking lot.

We're shooting for "4 Mile" in Yosemite--which is rated as "mildly strenuous/steep" but considered one of the most captivating, given large sweeping views of natural landscape.

If not, shoot me your ideas and let's set something up. 1972-gent, I know you're game (or at least, you'd better be--or I'll kick your ass g'damnit).

Might be a problem getting home if you hitch a ride on her way! LOL Also, Sunday is out for me icon_sad.gif Could do Saturday, also could drive if needed. Small compact car, would be intimate ride! LOL

I'll ask my amigos if they're interested in leaving Saturday morning and coming back that evening. Keep your ears open.

As I said to ebGuy, I know Sunday isn't doable for some. On account of it being "Return of Jesus II: Revenge on the Jews"/Easter, but for those that can keep an open mind.

Jesus won't mind, he'll be back--the man doesn't seem to get the hint.
