Binghamton is an old, declining industrial city in New York's southern tier region that used to be well known for being very intolerant and mostly white bread. But that was back then this is now. Like every place in America and the rest of the world, Binghamton is changing demographically. It still does not change the fact that this was a horrible, inexcusable act of violence against innocent immigrants who wanted to become part of America and seek a better, more prosperous life. This is just horrible.

And not even 3 days later there's another one in Pittsburgh where the shooter said he was desperate because he believed Obama was going to take his guns away.

WTF is going on in this countryicon_question.gificon_exclaim.gif

And in the meantime all we do and say is "oh how sad!"icon_exclaim.gif

The thing that really surprised me about this violent incident in Binghamton is that the murderer was a Vietnamese-American who recently lost his job at IBM. This was not committed by some ultra-conservative, white redneck.
