You do know you can get consumer reports and other critical information about other supplements on Google, right?

    http://www.quackwatch.org/04ConsumerEducation/QA/chitosan.html

People have done thorough studies and research on the effectiveness of these products and their claims.

At the same time, there are other products you can use to help with weight loss that's just everyday things you can eat:

More fruits such as apples & bananas,
caffeine from green tea & coffee,
decreasing intake to ridding yourself of processed foods,
healthy nutrients introduced into your body and of course,
    exercise.

I use a dressing to treat serious bleeding that is made of chitosan. It binds to the severed artary allowing it to clot faster, preventing the casualty from bleeding to death. Because of that reason, taking it as a supplement just sound wrong.

No, I just walk everywhere I need to go. Not to brag, but I got a high metabolism, and eat healthy; which keeps me invisible when I turn sideways. I really don't have to worry about weight, but I don't want to have heart problems, loss of stamina or cholesterol problems later on either. That's why I eat healthy and exercize regularly now. Not sure I'm one to encourager people to take body altering pills, but if they work they work. Right?
