I'm sorry, but Carla Bruni totally beat Michelle at the the fashion game this past week. How many of those sad j.crew sweaters does she own?

To be honest, after the Clinton scandal and the whole entire Bush Dictatorship, I didn't believe that our country could have a positive image any time soon. I have to give it up to Barack and Michelle Obama for cleaning house and championing my faith in US Minorities again!

ummmm....I dont think there was a fashion game this weekend.

I thought it was very classy of Carla to stay away from the summit so that it didnt become a media frenzy comparing the two.

Carla is a fashion model and comes from that world. Michelle is a lawyer and mother and comes from that world.

When they met it was very, very gracious.

    Class all around.....until you posted. ... icon_rolleyes.gif

right after i put you on my faggot-ass left-wing nutjob list. oh what fun icon_biggrin.gif

oh the hypocrisy. you all know damn well that if Queen Michelle was married to a republican president, the media would be all over her. i can see the headlines now, "the audacity of our first lady, wearing such expencive clothing while our country is going through tough economic times." but since she's the wife of a liberal bonehead (a man who has done more stupid things in just 70 days than Bush has done in 8 years) she's looked at as the next Jackie O. I can't believe that i have to pay for this razzle dazzle tour across socialist europe with my tax dollars, while he bashes america. hey france, you love him so much? then please, do the US a favor and take him!

*yawn* same old rhetoric... different thread. Here goes with another flame war.

    Wait... everyone stop now.

You are not going to persuade the other side and in the end, insults and stereotypes will just be tossed from post to post. Give it up. Block the other person for god sakes.

umm Shnookums' (sp? lol) You made SOME good points... other remarks were purely opinions and regergitated rhetoric from the right-wing propoganda machine.

I wonder, what would happen to America if we had your view of a perfect government.

You seem to be a die-hard Republican--I wonder why. You have never given me a clear answer. Do you hold any liberal views or values? I'm also interested in where you get your info.

btw, extreme right-wing or not... u are cute, and do have some good points... although not presented in the best way most of the time.

He's done more stupid things than Bush???????? I didn't think anyone could do this, but I'm always willing to be shown the error of my ways. With that in mind..

Can you please list them so that I may compare them with what Bush did wrong

he's spent trillions of dollars that we don't even have, leaving future generations in dept. he's cutting our defense when north korea has missiles headed towards japan, hawaii, and alaska. bashing our country to socialist europe, and apologizing and not once mentioning all of the good things we have done. being so nieve and arrogant that he actually thinks that sitting down and with our enemies is going to make everything all better. anyone that has ever worked in customer service should know that there are some angry irrational people out there. no matter how much you reason with them, or how nice or right you are, there's no way of getting through to them. these extremist will kill their own mothers!

you can all ignore me like ostriges, go ahead. it's not going to change what's going on.

Funny. I didn't realized missiles were headed toward the US. I thought it was a test fire. And i never heard Obama bash America to "socialist" Europe" I did hear him say that America has done some wrong things in the past--is that not the truth? Or does America do everything right... only under Republican rule of course?

I also heard him mention something about how the anti-American views in Europe were not justisfied... you convienently forgot to include that statement in of your analysis of Obama.

Disc0... you bash those who will never change their minds--yet I wonder, are you even capable of changing your mind? You are one of the most radical Republicans on this site. I personally know several Republicans. I respect them because they are moderates as well--meaning, they do not demonize the other side. They use evidence (citations), knowledge and wisdom to support their views--they do not toss around ad homenim attacks to bash fellow Americans who just have a different belief system and moral code.

Your lack of flexibility in your views and messages of "I am right--whoever disagrees with me is an idoit," Are what hurts your chances of persuading others to see your point of view. Your views may not be all that radical; however, you present them in a radical way, and that turns off people.

Whenever I read yopur political rants, I have to constantly remind myself that you do not speak for all Republicans--that I should not stereotype a politcal party becuase of you.

Think about it... you could present your views in a more respectable and moderate way--get down to the real issues. You choose not to though, and more RJers will see you as a radical.
