What's with the recent trend on most web sites, of total strangers requesting permission to be your "friend" ?
Don't you have to get to know somebody a little and decide that you like them before you can become friends ?

I always thought of website friending as sort of a passive-aggressive activity.
And, I'm sure you have no trouble getting friend requests with those pecs.

I'm just as confused by it. I don't question though, I just count on them barely speaking to me and it usually goes over well. I'm just another notch in their cyber-dashboard...

Fb.. you friend people you know and friends of people you know. You can friend some one then get rid of them later if you don't like em.

I don't get it, myself.

I noticed that my most recent ex has 518 people on his friends list (don't ask me why I looked, I have no idea). He doesn't know 518 people. He doesn't know ten people, and he doesn't like most of the ones he does.

I think for some guys it's like baseball, hockey etc or super hero cards that came in packs w/gum. Remember them? For whatever reason it's a compliment, eh?
