"A Christian photographer was forced by the New Mexico Civil Rights Commission to pay $6,637 in attorney's costs after she refused to photograph a gay couple's commitment ceremony.
A psychologist in Georgia was fired after she declined for religious reasons to counsel a lesbian about her relationship.
Christian fertility doctors in California who refused to artificially inseminate a lesbian patient were barred by the state Supreme Court from invoking their religious beliefs in refusing treatment.
A Christian student group was not recognized at a University of California law school because it denies membership to anyone practicing sex outside of traditional marriage."

basically, people HAVE freedom of religion- they can believe whatever they want, no matter how twisted and hateful... no one's telling those christians what to believe..... they just can't impose themselves upon others or deny others their RIGHTS, which is equally if not more important in America. really though, its not an either/or.... they have their beliefs, and we shall have our rights in the end. its only a matter of time. i'm just amazed that they've been able to bitch and whine about their wounded pride as long as they have.

It seems the courts are saying there is freedom of religion inside the church, but not necessarily out on the street, when you engage in commerce or receive public tax dollars. Now if the courts & government will only extend their rulings to include the political activities of religious groups, that have been waging electoral wars against gay rights.

Really it is a shame that religious groups can't get over a few passages of the Bible and realize we are the same as anyone else. You would think barring off freedoms from the GLBT community was their final crusade to prove the conviction of their faith. Aretha Franklin says it best in her song "Think":

You better think about what you're trying to do to me
Yeah, think, let your mind go, let yourself be free

Let's go back, let's go back, let's go way on back when
I didn't even know you, you came to me and too much you wouldn't take
I ain't no psychiatrist, I ain't no doctor with degree
It don't take too much high IQ's to see what you're doing to me

There ain't nothing you could ask I could answer you but I won't
I was gonna change, but I'm not, to keep doing things I don't

People walking around everyday, playing games that they can score
And I ain't gonna be the loser my way, ah, be careful you don't lose yours

You need me and I need you (don't you know)
Without each other there ain't nothing people can do

(To the bone for deepness, to the bone for deepness, to the bone for deepness, think about it)

You had better stop and think before you think, think!!

All this reminds me of the Marriage National Org.'s ad which was completely awful that we are not taking away their rights! Lmao! gotta love those people.

But furthermore if you are in a business that uses taxpayer money, you may not discriminate based off of what you believe. That's my view. If you are a private business, i hate to say this, but discriminate away, you are the one that loses my money.

We think they are radical now....just wait until their backs are against the wall and their already twisted religion mutates into an extreme cult that needs its message to be heard loud and clear with equally extreme violence.

I've always just thought it was because they were stupid. The religious bible humpers bring up the quote from leviticus about a man and another man laying with oneanother is an abomination in God's eyes, while ignoring that it also says eating shellfish is an abomination, hair is not to be cut, and the punishment for debt is stoning.

Good news though that we'll eventually win
