Oh yeah, he has a nice voice and really good style. I like his sound a lot. A friend of mine said that Jason Mraz is "ambiguous" about his sexuality. Not that it's important either way but it would be fun if he was one of "our people" hehe.

I love Mr. A-Z--found his first album in a shop in London when it first came out and have been hooked ever since.

Scary with a knife, tho. icon_lol.gif

I got to hang out with him in DC about 5 years ago and he is really a cool and down-to-earth guy. I think his lyrics are remarkable on all of his albums. One of my favs.

I've been to a couple of his acoustic concerts and they are really good. Here is my problem though. For lack of a better term, he has an unfortunate habit of completely "douchbagging" his radio tracks.

    For example:

I'm Yours. The EP that he first released is amazing. It's just a simple uncomplicated love song with no frills or thrills extra. Him and a guitar.

The radio single: Completely douchetastic. All these "Ske-be-bop-be-yas", and stupid lyric manipulations and shit that make the song like listening to feral cats yowling at the moon.

So I guess in closing my point is: When it comes to Jason Mraz's music, less is always more.

I suppose I should point out. I do love him. As in, completely. I just always HATE his radio singles.

I think hes great. In a washed out pop-we-all-sound-the-same world, Jason sounds original, has variety, and has great lyrics that you can actually hear and understand because there isnt thundering electric instruments pounding out a I - IV - V - I progression. MusicMan approves!
