Situps vs Crunches

Which is more helpful? I can do either...but the more I do of one, the more tired the muscles get, and the fewer I can do of the other. Which is more helpful? 'Cause then I could just expend all of my effort on the more helpful one, which would maximize results.

I've never really seen much professional opinion on this one, just been told by different (not-professional) school gym teachers/karate instructors that one or the other is better.

Get with a good trainer, or google on the different ab exercises.

Situps and crunches are different in what they work.

What you need to do is specific to your current muscle balance, current development, and current goals, and you'll have to become as informed as you can to make a qualified decision.

Abs are a sheet of muscle and different types of exercises work different parts of them
... you want to vary the type of ab work you do and also change your routine every-once-in-a-while too
