    Hey guys

I have been using a program called Future Decks Lite, a deejay program to use iTunes MP3's to mix. I'm old school, and spent most of my dj years using Technics 1200's and the original Double Denon's.

Anyway, I have put together a really nice mix of very gay dance tunes, and just wondering if there is an online program to use (like Photobucket etc) where I can post this new mix to share??

    thanks

I am not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but it will allow people to download your stuff for free.

You can create an iMix on iTunes and people can then download after purchasing all of the songs you place in the mix playlist. Not sure this exactly what you are looking for as you have to use songs already in iTunes and people have to buy them to download them.

thanks alexg, i will try that site.

Dugger, thanks also for your post. I'm not wanting to charge people for the mix, and I find that iTunes is a very unfriendly program for deejays. Unfortunately, the only way to use Future Decks so that other people can listen to it is to import the work into iTunes. Not everyone has Future Decks, so sharing the work is a problem.

I have already paid for the music I use, and like any Dj the world over, I wish to share the music. Can you imagine the Dj in your club asking every punter to pay so they can hear the music (apart from the door charge, of course!)

I don't believe in downloading for free - I pay full tote for everything I use, yet I also choose what I buy and what I get. My mix is a file that you would have trouble corrupting to take single parts out of to use for yourself - it is one long mix, with no chapters etc.

Anyway, anyway - thanks for the trouble you guys took to help me out here!

    Ok, so Jamendo doesn't work.

They need an AIFF file, mine is AIF.

Maybe I'm stupid, oh wait, that's a given.

LOL, no problem, Alex, and thanks for your help anyway!

As far as I can tell, the extension AIFF means Audio Interchange File Format. (Thanks Google!)

iTunes doesn't support this extension, due to the copying issues. I guess this is all ok, except that I can download music, movies and explicit pron quite easily, and free. So I can't work out why there are so many obsticles in place to stop me from sharing my files.

    Hey Cronker,

I know that many DJ's I've downloaded mixes from either use Meidafire http://www.mediafire.com/about.php?type=1 or Rapidshare http://www.rapidshare.com/. I don't know what types of file formats they are allowed to upload, but most of the times they are in .mp3 formats. If that's the case, you mentioned you had it in a .aiff format, I suggest you download free conversion software. I use one called Format Factory to convert mp3's to audio files and vice versa. Let me know if it works out for ya, would love to hear your mixset!
