Depends on what kind of snoring you are talking about. Some snoring is simply normal, but some certainly isn't.. like sleep apnea (which can be serious).

My suggestion (being a largely non snorer) is to evaluate the issue and get some doctors' advice. You had probably better be sure what kind of snoring is the case here.

Snoring is usually caused by the relaxation of the lower jaw allowing the soft palate to vibrate with each inhalation
That's why most people snore when they are on their backs
You can try some of the OTC remedies they have
Take a look in some of the drugstores ... not the medicinal ones the mouthpieces are the ones I am talking about

I woke my partner up the other night with my snoring. He said it was the worst he'd experienced in our 2 years together. He poked me as I had told him to do, because I am prone to snoring, and it didn't work. I felt very guilty. icon_redface.gif

If anyone has any good cures, I would like to know. Different rooms is not an option, for either of us.

Breathe Right strips seem to work for the occasional snoring for my partner.

I snored pretty heavily when I was 60 pounds heavier, amazing what weight loss will accomplish, no snoring now.

Neither me, nor my boyfriend really snore. However, our 24 lb dog snores like an obese, drunken sailor on shore leave.
