Regardless if you are or are not in a relationship, what do you want romantically?

Do you want to a relationship, and if so what will it look like? How long will it last?

If you do not want a relationship, you might still want something romantically? What is it?

Please do not say what you don't want, or complain about challenges you have had. See if you can keep the statement positive, hopeful.

What is your ideal - romantically?

    Nice topic, thank you !

What I am hoping to find and want romantically is a man with whom I can be happy and still be challenged. I see our relationship as give and take... each contributing their own side and making the relationship way more than the sum of the parts. I see us each having his own life and space but coming together to enhance the other's life.

How long will it last? However long is well worth it, but of course we all wish forever icon_smile.gif

I hoping for a relationship that lasts for the rest of my life....

Have you seen those old couples that are so frail they cant grip each others hands but still try to hold the hand of their lover. I want that, i want to grow old with my guy and watch our kids grow and have kids of their own.

I want to be a husband,
I want to be a daddy
I want to be a grandfather.
I want love from a man and my kids...

I'd love to have a relationship that lasts the rest of my life. I'd love to find someone who is emotionally available and shares my interests. Someone I connect with on an intellectual level, physical level, and spiritual level.

Someone who is fun and playful in bed, and also passionate and enjoys the emotional as well as the physical aspect of making love. I want someone that turns me on and gets me heated up even after so many years.

I want someone who feels like a partner in every way.

Not asking for much, am I? icon_rolleyes.gif

i want love basically what it comes down to, i want someone to enjoy life with. someone to travel with and to live carefree as we swing in the hammocks of the Caribbean. i wanna be able to go to the grocery store and make him laugh by saying something stupid or vice versa. no drama, no unnecessary assumptions that alot of guys go thru. just happyness. i want a big family and live happily ever after on my ranch rockin life away on the front porch with some beer in the warm texas breeze

Yes, I want a relationship basically. Something that doesn't hinge on sex alone. Nor on the way relationships today seem to be more like a social status - a relationship for relationship's sake.

Someone who can make me feel better about myself. And someone I can dote on. icon_razz.gif Someone I wouldn't even have the need to feel jealous about because I'd trust him. Someone who's humanist and accepts the failings and limitations of being mere mortals while celebrating what it's like to be one. Someone to talk to. Someone to be silent with. Someone who I can stand behind and who can stand behind me in everything in life. Someone who likes hugs more than sex (LOL). Someone with a sense of humor. Someone who's not afraid to laugh even at the oddest of moments. Someone who can share even just a bit of my interests in some things. Someone who can share his weaknesses and strengths with me and mine with him.

And I want to be able to grow old with him. I want it to last until I die, ideally. LOL

    And I want kids!

Romantically speaking...a guy that is a bit of a romantic but also a bit of a challenge. He would have a kiss that makes me weak in the knees, thinks that my horrible singing to Kelly Clarkson in the car is adorable, would laugh hysterically with me when I have my "blonde" moments in life, works out, has a clever wit and dry sense of humor to match my own, has the same ideals about relationships as I do, has no problem with my self proclaimed "I am a nerd" title, notices me smile at him from across the room and instantly smiles back and has a pretty good idea what I am thinking, someone who will challenge me to do new things that I wouldn't normally do, and I would prefer him to not carry all of his things in a man bag that has to be buckled in the backseat of the car at all times when traveling.

"Butch, beautiful, brilliant, Captain America meets Albert Schweitzer. Spends all day dashing into the fray while making the world safe for Democracy. At night playing Bach cantatas while curing Cancer." He gets bonus points for knowing what movie that is from WITHOUT Googling it.

My ideal relationship would be one of give and take, monogamous, and I kind of feel like everything will fall into place with the right guy.

Is that too much to ask?

I want my better half to always have a smile on his face, to feel safe and secure. I want him to know I will always be there for him, protecting him from harm. Pretty simple, I think.

I have no real idea what I want. I should though - I've had more boyfriends than Chaucer's Wife of Bath has had marriages - almost!

Seriously - I am a giver. My happiness is in making someone else happy and spending quality time with him. I want to give *him* all the love and attention he deserves = someone so compelling that I put his desires above my own.

Someone who accepts me and loves me for who I really am, someone I can be myself around, someone who makes me laugh, think, feel, happy and strive to be better everyday. Someone who believes in monogamy and long-term commitment.

What do I want in a relationship or compansion:
    Someone who makes me laugh,
someone who understands my nerdy , need to learn more nature and accepts that,
someone who doesnt need romantic innuendos constantly but is surprised and loves when I do itunexpectedly and by surprise,
someone who is willing to be in a longterm committed relationship but also wants their independence at the same time,
someone who is committed to being as healthy as I am,
someone who is open to their family and open to their family about their relationships as I would be.

acuariosalvaje saidRegardless if you are or are not in a relationship, what do you want romantically? a great kisser, a good heart, not needy but sharing.

Do you want to a relationship, and if so what will it look like? How long will it last? it will look like any stable relationship -- a roller coaster and the fair -- full of hills and valleys and an ultimate thrill ride again and again

If you do not want a relationship, you might still want something romantically? What is it? If I want romance, and I do, it could only be true in the form of a relationship -- if not then a summer fling would work and then we move on perhaps because we live in differnt parts of the world

Please do not say what you don't want, or complain about challenges you have had. See if you can keep the statement positive, hopeful.

What is your ideal - romantically? I'm not sure what your asking, you seem to be wanting to seperate romance and relationship which would mean your looking for a few moments of bliss...

I'd want, compassion, sharing, maturity, passion, love, learing, growth, respect.

Oh if you were only closer! LOL I want someone who will want me back. Someone that will wrap his arms around me when I'm cooking, cuddle with me when we watch tv, help with entertaining, put his arm around me when we go to dinner. Someone who will be open and non-judgmental in communications, realistic about each of our expectations and who takes care of himself, is active, fun, personable, caring, honest, compassionate. Damn, the perfect man, no where to be fun icon_sad.gif

When I think about what I want it just fills me with aching despair because I don't believe I'm ever going to get it. So what I really want is to find a way to just accept my present life and give up the illusions of what-might-be that just torture me and stop me dealing with the reality of now.

I want a guy who is his own person and doesn't need me, but allows himself to need me. I want a guy who gives me attention (so what if I'm an attention whore) because he's interested in me. I want to be able to shower him with affection and care for him.

I'd love to find a "forever" relationship, but I am realistic enough to realize that it doesn't always work that way. One can hope though. My parents were great role models in the love department, and I want to find something like what they have. Minus the kids.
