What was he singing? Was it a piece from a Requiem? I think I distinguished that word at the end.

I noticed Simon gestured 3 with three fingers and not two fingers and the thumb. Is that how they gesture 3 in England?

Pie Jesu from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Requiem.

Was that really him singing? It sort of looked like he was lip syncing. icon_neutral.gif

it is a rare thing for a male vocalist to make the hair on my neck and ears tingle but this kid managed to do what only the likes of Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban have.

problem is this kid is 13, in another year his voice will likely change and then what?

The audio and video are out of sync. You can tell when the judges are speaking.

He'll still be a good singer, he just won't be able to sing quite as high.

definitely amazing!... I sang that exact song when i was younger for a requiem concert in NJ... his voice obviously will change, but if he keeps working and vocalizing that upper register in his voice, he will have an amazing low to high range... I just did Chicago musical in Florida and was Mary Sunshine and had to sing like a soprano and did it...so he has many many many years of success ahead of him...the singing voice doesnt mature until around 35 years old...so if he continues practices and strengthening his vocal cords def have a long career in singing ahead of him.
