I just read one for the first time... Does anyone else find it hilarious that the same people post over and over until they get the answer they were looking for.. Just an observation

What I find more puzzling are people who post in it simply to put down the guy above them. I mean, if you don't really want to smell the underwear of the guy above you why not simply just NOT POST. It's kewl to be pointlessly mean, apparently.

thats not true man! Even after I get the answer im looking for I continue posting just to make sure I can get the same answer over and over again icon_lol.gif

this is like the 129873982173219837192873981th thread hating guy above you threads. I think there are as many threads complaining about the "guy above you" threads than "guy above you " threads themselves... Just an observation icon_wink.gif

that doesnt mean you have to give a negative answer though. You can always say "yes" or "maybe", to smell the underwear of the guy above you. Its not like you will smell anybody's boxers anyway, its just for fun, and its not funny when you make others feel kinda sad. If you dont like him then dont answer. If you really want to answer then just be nice, because anyway you have to remember that thats what youre expecting from the guy bellow you.

I tend to get the answer I want the first time, actually. The other times I don't look as I would reply more than once only because of the person above me.

I think we need more threads about the guy above you threads.

I've continued to post after I got a compliment. I think my favorite was the 'tell a naughty lie' thread. Just have trouble coming up with the lies.

Hey, Charlitos. I'm not hitting on you or anything but the new main pic look good.

Amen sexy man from Toronto! Guys spend more time complaining about guy above you threads then answering them.....

And of course, that will inspire more guy above you threads.

And just when it was starting to get quiet on the "guy above you" front....

    OH WELL! icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

i find it more buggery when people bitch about such things... ;-)

if out of 1000 posts a guy has some 10-20 postings, that's ok. most of RJ don't particpate in the first place so there are certainly going to be patterns of repetition. if there were 200 and he was every other poster, yes, it'd be less than amusing. :>

what's the point of flirting if you're not going to enjoy it both directions?

Next topic: Would you start a "guy above your thread" to get the guy above you to notice you?

OHHHHHH YES SIR! I got a couple of ideas already, just waiting for the right moment...icon_lol.gif we have to be careful with our strategies, we cannot afford a guy above you thread with less than 100 responses or this business would have no purpose.

You got THAT right. Making a successful "guy above you" thread is not as easy as you all may think. You have to touch a nerve, strike a chord, move you studs into action! icon_smile.gif

I for one (and I am pretty sure Charlitos 2) take great PRIDE in coming up with a meaningful "guy above you" thread.

And there are more on the way.....can happen at any time icon_smile.gif

Hey I might even collaborate with Charlitos to get the ultimate "guy above you" thread. icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

Guilty as charged... and after a satisfying answer, I post again to see if I can get better answers! icon_biggrin.gif It's all part of the fun really, as long as half the posts aren't by the same person.

Aw, yes, the guy above me...so close, but yet so far away. In this medium we are often so preoccupied with discussing the issue, proving our point, and discrediting the opposing viewpoint that we let it drive us apart. In no other thread, do guys come together soley to focus on eachother. Even when the response from the guy below is unfavorable, the guy above learns something about what someone in this community thinks of him. I think the threads bring the community together. Ofcourse, some guys don't need these threads because they know enough already about how they rank on RJ. The ones who continue, still have questions they want answered. It's something to do basically and although there are regulars, newbies surface every new Guy Above You Thread.

    ...........................................

And what do giant robots have to do with this, nothing, I just like giant robots.

Generally speaking, if commenting on the guy above you is the most entertaining and pressing thing in your life, you need to re-examine you life's goals, and objectives, and what you're doing with the rest of your life.
