I read today in the online sports section.

That rival football teams could try to hurt Tom Brady of the New England Patriots on field.

Isn't that the point of the game of football, it's to win and apparently at the moment they can't be beat.

Sounds like sour grapes from the loosing teams.

    What are your thoughts?

    Hey there Phoenix,
I heard that as well, but you shouldn't be surprised... with the hype, the money and the prestige, you know those teams who perceive (or are) at a disadvantage are going to try to get the advantage.

Don't some individuals do that too?

    HK,

It may be alll hype. But we have become a culture that has adopted this win "By Any Means Necessary" mentality.

Good thing is that the defensive line is just as strong as the offensive line. Defensive line is very effective at protecting him.

The funny thing is before this season I was not even a huge football fan. I am now. They are just AMAZING!

They have not even been challenged!

    Tom BRADY! WOW!

It's interesting that you guys should find this an issue.

Over here, our sports news often reports team plans to take out certain players in big games. In our recent League grand final, Manly targeted one of the Storm players and were quite open in doing so. It's part of the culture over here to target the star player in any team.

    Cronker,

I have engaged sports all of my life and in this country is such a thing a "GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP".

Two teams in meet they engage in a healthy competition and the better team win. Although one team leaves feeling a bit dejected and crushed but in the long run it’s makes us better because it give us the drive to practice and the mind-set we’ll get them next time. That’s how we do things here in AEMERICA. .

But to purposely land a cheap shop to take someone of commission because they are better than you well that's just wrong.

There is difference between wearing your opponent down and taking a CHEAP PUNK SHOT with the intent of causing the player harm.

That's the point I making and that's why it's an issue.
I don't know what type of sport you play wherever you are from but I would not want to be a part of a team that has and win at any cost attitude.

Someone taking a cheap shot against an opponent has ended both lives and careers.

Did you win the when you targeted this one player did you take shots to hurt him to take him out ? That’s is what some players are considering doing to Tom Brady for what for being a gifted and talented player. How is that right?

What type of example is this sitting for young children both males and females?
