Why can't all gays be nice to each other?

The forums here are unlike any other, but the posters can sometimes just behave in a manner totally uncalled for. You may disagree, I undestand, but hello, there's always a diplomatic way of doing that. Newsflash: even online! Good thing I'm a human teflon for sarcasm.

Gays are just like all other people, we are human and we have beliefs and opinions and we tend to disagree and debate just like everyone else. Some of us disagree in a polite and pleasant while some of us disagree in a rude and vindictive manner. There is good and bad in everyone.

But on the bright side; on a forum, you've got at least ten minutes to think of your come-back.

I don't think it has anything to do with being gay.
The internet allows each of us to be as kind or cruel or thoughtless as we want to be, with almost no repercussions.
Sometimes, I'm guilty of mouthing off with the first thing that comes to mind, instead of being more considerate. I'm working on it...

well, for whatever reason, gay men seem predisposed for cattiness, probably in a desire to elevate themselves through cutting wit in their own minds superioristically in a compensation for deep insecurities incurred during the experience of being closeted and outcast by society.

aside from that, why are there wars? sometimes, direct conflict is just the knee-jerk reaction to disagreement and we can't expect everyone to be man enough to rise above that.

finally, the internet provides a uniquely impersonal sort of interaction between people- its easier to really not care what others think of one as one would in person... freeing people to not really hold back.

I'm cool with everyone until you give me a reason not to be,,,It stings more when a fellow gay choses to be unkind....When i'm feeling too much of myself i check it right away and ask myself,,''Okay why am i behaving this way''....

Why can't all human beings be nice to one another?

Some just have a sick humor and like feeling superior by putting others down.
