I enjoy cleaning when there is a visible result - like cleaning dishes, vacuuming, filing, etc... But, I can't STAND doing laundry. I just hate the process - especially folding!!

I really dislike vacuuming, especially if the vacuum is really loud, and cleaning the shower/tub. I can clean everything else easily.

My favorite room to clean is the kitchen. I love to whip down every surface, organize every untensil, polish every piece of metal and sweep the floor clean and mop it as well. The only other thing that comes close would be keeping the garden maintained. I love to trim hedges, aerate the soil, water plants - manually, mow the grass and pick the week's herbs.

    I hate cleaning!

But I hate a dirty house too.

Don't mind washing, and 99.9 % of my stuff go in the dryer, as I hate clothes lines, they look so ugly, we don't even have one. But then I have to put it all away, and I may change 3 times a day, and only wear something once, and then it's in the wash.

I hate washing the stuff that doesn't go in the dishwasher.

I don't mind ironing, as I hate unironed clothes even more.

I'de rather pull weeds in the garden. But today I'm cleaning the whole house, and I have 15 rooms to clean:icon_neutral.gif

My favorite is opening the door to let my cleaners come in. icon_biggrin.gif

My least favorite is watering the plants inside the house.

I would say dusting. I can handle much of the rest of it, but dusting just gets old.....

I am strangely calmed by cleaning, and if the apartment is a mess I sometimes go into OCD mode until it's spick and span. So I don't really mind cleaning anything. I've been doing laundry since I was tall enough to reach the washing machine (believe it, it was young) and when I was little I used to have an obsession with a toy vacuum that had beads in it that would move when you pushed it around. I called it my "va-cuhm."

Heh. At least you have a dish washer. Mine are attached to my arms. I usually put off my dishes durring the week, and then make myself do them on the weekend. Anyway, that's my least favorite chore.

My favorite one is running the vaccum. It usually means I've done everything else, and the apartment just looks and feels so much better when it's all cleaned up.

My least favorite chore is cleaning up after my roommates who have the audacity to talk about their friend's places being dirty. I especially hate cleaning up after the roommate who shares my bathroom (there are 3 of us in a 3bdrm, 2 bth apt). I'm a place for everthing and everything in its place kind of guy. I like the bathroom and the kitchen to be spotless and the chrome to sparkle. This is lost on the roommates unless they are having guests and then it's "Erik, can you help before you leave?"

I like my pig sty, thank you; I've adjusted to my filthy, filthy (homosexual) lifestyle.

Since I have to be clean around the food I handle, along with everything else in the work environment, I welcome dirt, dust, and grim.

Also, I live in a co-op; a clean house is an ephemeral pleasure. icon_rolleyes.gif

My house is a total mess. But I leave alone, nobody see is but myself. If I clean it today it got messy again the next day. Why bother?

Ironically, you can find people on craigslist who are totally into coming to your house for FREE and having you boss them around in the buff, including making them clean.
