    Disco Week (‘70’s)-No mentors
    1. Lil Rounds-I’m Every Woman-Chaka Khan-I like Lil, but the arrangement sucked ridiculously and only by the grace of America will she be back next week. She did not sing the melody hardly at all. She has great stage presence, but it was just not there. I’m glad she believes in herself, but she did sound very Karaoke. She made have done better with Whitney’s version.
    2. Kris Allen-She Works Hard For The Money-Donna Summer-Loved this acoustical version (reminiscent of Santana) and love his voice (smoky and bluesy). I most definitely would buy his CD for the same reasons I bought Elliot Yamin’s. Still early, but I still believe he is the dark horse and could surprise everyone and take this.
    3. Danny Gokey-September-Earth, Wind & Fire-I don’t care what all the naysayer’s say, he can sing. Stage presence? Getting there. I don’t see Danny as a pop star, but a vocalist type of entertainer. There is no denying his vocal chops. Michael Bolton-esque, but in a better way.
    4. Allison Iraheta-Hot Stuff-Donna Summer-Didn’t like her version. She has a great voice, one of the best this season, but not real hip on the rockiness all the time. And I know she is 16, but I wish they would talk her into changing her hair color; she looks way too much like a mini-me Kelly Clarkson.
    5. Adam Lambert-If I Can’t Have You-Yvonne Elliman-I’m not a fan of the Eddie Munster hairstyle this week, but loved his arrangement. Yea, he is the one to beat. And is it just me, but the guy in the suspenders that waved is Adam’s boyfriend possibly?
    6. Matt Giraud-Stayin’ Alive-The Bee Gees-Aside from the last note, I thought Matt did himself big and proud. I don’t think he will go home. And he got some moves.
    7. Anoop Desai-Dim All The Lights-Donna Summer-Loving the facial hair. He can sing, but didn’t like his performance.

So since there are 7 again and they do a bottom 3, I pick:
Lil Rounds, Anoop Desai, Allison Iraheta with Allison being safe.
If they do 3 safe, then pit one on one and then one on one-Lil and Allison=Lil going home and Danny and Anoop=Anoop going home.

Lil - just bad. had a chance to move the house while delivering powerful vocals, but just didn't sing the chorus. and that outfit...

Kris - he has yet to move out of one spot during any performance so far and has gotten completely predictable. his voice isn't distinct and he yells, not sings, the high notes (which are mostly flat, btw). reminds me of Fire Marshall Bill in his facial expressions. I have no interest in buying a record from someone who only does mid-tempo songs or ballads. like Blake Lewis, he's still in it mainly because he's delicious to look at.

Danny - yeah, needs stage presence, but that's why they're amateurs. phenomenal vocals that just touch you no matter what he's singing.

Allison - ugh. I wouldn't be sorry if she didn't sing another note. her breathing technique when she sings reminds me of a whale through its blowhole and her voice isn't anything special.

Adam - completely stripped this song from being anything memorable, no melody. vocals were amazing, though.

Matt - eh, karaoke at its best, really. his stage moves are the most awkward of the remaining contestants and the hats are trite

Anoop - he performed? that's how forgettable it was.

While the others are capable and even very good singers, Adam's had this sewn up since the beginning. His voice is a combination of Axl Rose and Freddie Mercury and more elastic than the two combined.

My least favorite was little rounds....she's gone. It was a terrible arrangement. My ears still hurt.
If you are going to I'm every woman you better bring it. I'm sorry she left in the mansion. Her voval range is just not strong enough for that song.

My favorite by far was Kris. I was not quite sure if he could pull it off. Because "She Works Hard For The Money" is such a powerful song, as well as the video. He worked it out! Donna would be proud. That song will for sure be on the album.

Adam- It was ok. Like it but I was not in love with it. Some song should not be song as a ballad. Just sayin.

Did David A. find a batch of pills that stopped his growth at puberty? Can we say 12? icon_razz.gif

I saw Macaulay Culkin on 'Kings' the other day, and he's taking the same pills.

It all seemed mediocre, even my boyfriend Adam.

Just not the right choice of disco songs to get me interested.
