    Tee hee hee

I just stopped over to my former personal trainer's studio to give him a couple of gifts (The Ultramind Solution book and a National Geographic DVD on Stress). In the time since I have been with him, he has festooned his walls with inspriational quotations (he always had the policy that if you say something negative about yourself you had to do pushups). Most of the quotations are from famous people, but one is from ME!

At the end of my cancer treatment my dr told me I had to exercise in order to snap out of the side effects of the treatment. I knew that I was in no shape to discipline myself to exercise, so I bit the bullet and paid for a personal trainer. The way I figured it "If I die, I dont need the money and if I live, I need the body." And that is what is quoted on his wall.

I now try to impress everyone starting out that a PT is an investment, not an expense. Get the right PT (and here's an RJ article about how to evalutate one: http://www.realjock.com/article/1340/ ) and you will reach your goals and fix problems you never knew were holding you back

LOL that is marvelous... i may start quoting that at people who dicker with me on my rates (which never happens: you either want to work out with an effective trainer, or you can go to peak and get a cracker jack trainer with a "certification" from hoohaw academy of pushups)

Sometimes, the simplest words speak volumes. If heard by the right ears, they speak to the masses. Well done Calson!

That's incredible Caslon! Those words are very powerful, thanks for creating it!

And your trainer has a great idea on talking bad about oneself; I should apply that to my work-out partner and I!

    Thank you!

My pilates teacher gets narky when I say I can´t do something. She claims that I am so strong that the exercises I can´t do are because I have a mental block rather than a physical weakness.

    MMmm.. whatever icon_rolleyes.gif

Caslon, this is an awesome saying! Thank you for sharing it...I may use variations of it around friends when they are down. Congrats on being an inspiration and keep up the good work!
