Now, now every gay man should stick together...I admire that he is who is and he is very involved in community charities and is as important as Rupaul and the other queers out there. I say go ahead with your bad self Perez!! Woo-Hoo! Self empowerment is a powerful thing so as a gay man I care what he says because he is a gay celebrity rasing communtiy awarness & acceptance. I'm shure its what he wants too. Be kind Rewind icon_lol.gif

RuPaul always conducts himself/herself in a dignified way at all times. I never really heard of Perez Hilton until recently.

He's the malicious stereotypical queen at your typical gay night club that I'd happily avoid at all times.

He's not typical... He is smart to Brand himself that way. He is a business and its smart. His opinions matter, they get a response and a nice paycheck from the people that understand they love to hate him. - he is smart and if he was your typical gay at a night club he would be just that and you or I would not know who he is, but I like that he is muchmorethangay. SNAP!!

if you read his blog, youd find a lot of things which come in conflict with what he has previously said... whom he likes and whom he does not... you'll find him very insconsistent with his opinions...

any reaction is a postive one. Some gay men take it so personal, let him be. I say to the people who don't like him " You aint no celebrity to be hateing on nobody, his job is to be loud and hate on celebs" think of him like a gay Joan Rivers. Lol!

    LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!!!!

My problem with Perez Hilton is the hateful mean spiritedness with which he conducts himself. It's awesome to have opinions and to be outspoken about them, but he is more concerned with making personal attacks and name calling that he is with establishing dialogue on a subject. Now some people, mean stupid people who just want an excuse to act poorly and get away with it, will say he's just shrugging off the oppression of political correctness in favor of blunt honesty. I would say that you can be blunt and honest without being nasty, vulgar and demeaning.

Disagree 100%. Perez Hilton is vile, toxic, and an extremely negative person. I am embarrassed that he represents the gay community and I can think of loads of better representatives.

Gays, is this really the best we can do?

In the Britney example - don't forget, Perez was the one trashing Britney and cheering her downfall - until she really did fall and then he became her biggest advocate and, ironically, part of her recent tour. You could put this down to enlightenment, but in reality he's just a bitchy show pony.

i'm not basing this on stereotypes, but most gay men has the natural tendency to be like him, tactless and orally obnoxious.

muchmorethanmuscle saidJust because that chick disagreed about same sex marriage doesn't warrant Perez calling her a stupid bitch. She has a right to her belief system without being being treated in a hostile manner. I 100% disagree with her but I couldn't care less. It's highly undignified behavior and to do so publicly on your web page speaks volumes.

    Definately agree with you.

I agree with some of the above posts.

I think its unfortunate that Perez Hilton conducted himself in the way he did.
He could have disagreed with this woman in public, but still carry a degree
of dignity and respect. Instead he came off as a loud, SOB.. I can see people asking... why was this dude a judge to begin with?

Some gay men are catty and obnoxious, not most. Of those, the vast majority of them try to be situation appropriate with their remarks. They do not seek a public platform with which to paint a negative picture of the gay community. Perez Hilton gets as far as he does in entertainment circles because people find it is easier to put up with him at their events than endure a photoshop campaign with dicks and spooge drawn all over their faces.

but miss california's calling it biblically correct tells of her being misinformed... you get a lot of interpretations of the bible (the leviticus, where youd find the text saying men sleeping with other men is an abomination, also mention that it's a sin to eat lobster. and i like lobster and who would find that sinful?)

Really, its a job. Somebody is got to do it. and since when are gay reporter gossip queens so important. I think he is good at what he does. You don't pick and choose what is good for the gay community. Every person bring a good quality on the table. He is cashing in on that sterotypical character. Learn that the world is tough, If he ain't said anything about you then don't put emotion to it. It his job to talk about celebrities let them have an opinion of what he says about them. It's just a bunch of celebrity gossip! Fun

By the way, comparing a loud mouth gay publisit to the boys out at the club, news flash there is a bigger world than just the club

No, Joan Rivers and even Kathy Griffin are crass and biting in their commentaries. Perez goes beyond that to outright malicious intent.

Some of these queens on here won't understand... they are probably working and taking it out on poor perez. I think America represents equality... the words gay, lesbian and straight as unity came out of our presidents mouth on the day of his acceptance speech. I think Miss America is important to many gay's and its important that someone would respect the feelings of other even if you are asked to be honest for the sake of respect. She didn't win! I want some of these guys who to move to Kansas where the majority are not accept gays. Its selfish to say just because you are comfortable with other peoples opinions that there aren't people who are struggling with people treating them unfairly because of religious interpretations. I was ashamed by her response it must have been very upseting for Perez. (LOL)

its because of perez hilton and the likes of him why most people regard us as unpleasantly, atleast in my place. what they see is an obnoxious bunch walking the streets, crying profanity and loving it, and that's how the define gay people. it's hard to find a man who's as popular as he is and is the exact opposite.
