Be a vegetarian !Animals evolved first ..millions and millions of years before us .We are evolved from the Animals..they gave birth to the human race..they are our creators..lets us not be so selfish and destroy our creators.Dont treat them like mere objects ..their Life deserve the same respect as ours..Love animals ..love the Planet.. Being Vegetarian would be the best decision you would have taken in your life..For the sake of poor animals .,for the sake of Nature, environment ..Go veg..

Be a vegetarian ..its good for the health and for the world...But most important its life for that little baby that wants to live..enjoy the world just like us ..see the next morning light ..play..sleep in their mother's arms ,..Love everyone alike .Live and let live and feel the purity in yourself ..feel true life...feel GOD in true sense...

For people who say its not unethical ..
    Just watch the documentary film..
www.earthlings.comand I bet the unethical part with completely go away from your mind..

How can humans be so disgraceful ,so cruel and retarded to do this! ..after seeing this documentary with my friends .all 3 who ate meat ..just cried and have turned Vegan ..and there are examples throughout the World..

See with an open mind ..and if this is what you approve off..you must be having a Heart of Stones and cannot feel for other living creations of God..

I am telling because some people cannot hear and see the Pain and cries of Animals ..I am telling what I care for the World ..for the environment ,global warming and people dying of starvation in the Third world ..and this is all happenig because of just one reason and tht is Meat Eating..it is totally wrong and unethical ,,it wasnt and never will be righteous to eat Meat..its being not aloowed in any religious Texts too ...be it Bible ,Koran or the Gita ,,and any other text u follow ..

A large movement is already getting formed and it needs too..before we face any apocalypse .2012 is coming..and the cries of animals have reached the Heaven ..the movement is on ..Never before had so many people advocated this and never before has so many people opted for this ..Everyone needs to join this ..if u say ..u single perosn cannot help ..you are wrong ...it does ..if everyone thinks the same way and stops eating Meat ..slowly a chain would formed and in years to come ..we would have a peace loving and a humane society ..why humans and animals live happily with more satisfaction ..riots and terrorist attacks would be less ..and less people would starve to death ..indreclty benefitting the entire human Race and from Heaven there will someone Happy and Smiling and would shower more benefits to the human race .there would be less diseases and more prosperity to the human race..

and besides I believe in ..
    3 stages of Truth ..
    1.Ridicule
    2.Violent opposition
    3.Acceptance..

so if u ridicule this..the truth is already in its First stage .
if u oppose it ,its closer to be accepted.
and if u accept it ...its more Good for you than anyone else in the World..

Does a human becoming a vegetarian stop animals from eating each other? How do we prevent that? Kill all the predators?

If cows and chickens don't want to be eaten, they should stop being so delicious. And they should stop lookin' at me funny and making me angry And a cow shouldn't have killed my great-great-great-grandpappy initiating a blood feud, as my code of ethics demands that I consume the flesh of my enemies and absorb their power.

This is just bad stream of consciousness. Again, another downside of the internet and "write, push, publish" philosophy.

Humans evolved as omnivores. A taste for animal protein is implanted in our DNA. A juicy tenderloin seems delicious to us because we are genetically inclined to hunger for the protein we need.
Evolution has yet to implant a yen for soy milk.

Mankind didn't climb to the top of the food chain, just to say, "Ok, guess I'll go clobber me some salad for supper."

Plus, we need to keep the animal population in check. :-)

The more vegetarians the better, supply and remand will make my fillet that much more affordable. Minimum 2 inches think and maximum of 3 minutes per side. Them's good eats!

I think the premise is your statement is interesting, but I don't believe in God. Your suggestion kind of dies from there. No offense.

Your from India though, are you Hindu? Is it part of your religion? I know a kid who lives right next to me in the dorm who is vegetarian because of Hinduism. I think that is cool and all, but not for me.

As a species we did not make it to the top of the food chain for nothing.

It's all about natural selection baby, why do you think we are (most of us) as smart as we are.

    I'm confused...

Whose this "little baby" and whose mother's arms are we supposed to sleep in?

Ugh. Reading this thread suggests that we need to find something better to eat, then.

You should probably have a steak buddy. You sound like a certified protein deficient nut case.

I was a vegetarian for about six years until the reasoning wore off. I dont have anything against either side but i will say it was slightly more expensive to be a vegetarian than not. Have you seen the price of a pack of "Smartdogs"? And im not gonna get into the the "living thing" debate. Plants are living things too and I dont see PETA advocating for the protection of Caesar salads.

I eat meat and dont agree with the OP but that doesnt make him a nut case.
