Okay, I realize there may be a lot of threads on this guy already but I didn't see any on the first page so I'm going to go ahead and post this.
This guy is amazing- is anybody feeling him as much as I am?
As far as his singing goes, he is the only American Idol contestant that I've paid any attention to. I never really watched the show before but I find myself tuning in every week to see what he does.

On another note, the man is gorgeous. I've never found his type attractive before but, man, wow...
I'll bet he'll pretty popular with the tween demographic.

If you haven't heard any of his stuff check these out...

    What do you guys think?

Not to keen on his looks but the guy has a voice as strong and in tune as a freshly tuned electric guitar. Vocally, in my book, he can do no wrong. I know his "Ring of Fire" got creamed by the judges but I thought it was one of the most amazing things I've ever heard. He jumps registers like an athlete jumps puddles.

I find him to be the single most irritating contestant in the history of Idol. The upper register of his voice makes my head hurt.

I also think he's a poser, who dresses all punk-rock, but probably couldn't name an Iggy Pop or Dead Kennedys song, if his life depended on it.

I think he is artistic and creative. Though goes for that screech "Patti Labelle" note a little to often. Definitely from pure artistry and talent the best of the bunch. Though I like good guy Chris.

I find his screech closer to Axl Rose than Patti LaSmelle.

Couldn't agree more. But am I seeing a pattern here? A new RJ member joins and with a single-digit post history and no Profile, jumps in with something mischievous & potentially divisive. Not too bad in this case, but I'm gonna be watching for a possible trend. There are a few others who may be planted troublemakers, as well. Maybe, maybe not... we shall see. icon_evil.gif

Adam is the only contestant that I would go out and buy his record.

    I LOVE him!

He has done musical theater in the past. That's why I feel he is playing the part of a rock star on the show. He does have a great voice and great control of his voice, but I am not a huge fan of the characters he comes up with each week. Some people might like them though. He's like the male version of Cher(always reinventing themselves). I personally think Chris is the cutest.

My sweet 91 yr old grandmother told me to start writing letters and maybe I could get a backstage pass. She does not understand emailing yet.icon_smile.gif

Same for me. Never watched Idol until I heard about the gay guy. His Mad World song is amazing. Can't wait to meet him.

It never ceases to amaze me that the number of posts someone has is suppose to give or not give them credibility. Ridiculous.

As to Adam, I don't find him attractive, really. He is cute in his own way. But this is a singing competition at its most basic ( of course 19 records, Simon's record company wants a winner to sell the most records). I think Adam has an amazing voice and is a very good showman.

its called diversity, you dont like him for reason A and B but others do like him for reasons C and D. Unfortunately for you the show its intended to satisfy a majority and not a minority.

I think he's Amazing, I love him! Here is a song he did before he was on American Idol. It's awesome, he can sing!

Here are two videos with him hinting about his sexuality.

Wow Charlitos.. I got a little excited with your intelligence and assertiveness. DAYUM!

Frankly, physically, he got one of those faces that.. one week I think.. WOW.. He is gay.. he is HOT.

Other weeks, I think.. "not so much" But, this is not a beauty contest right?

His voice... unbelievable. But... as its been said "theatrical" at best.
My hope is that he is just trying to showcase what he can do with his pipes. Because if he could take it down a peg or two... im all over it.
