mmmm, now I want one with tomato soup, or maybe clam chowder. Or I could split the difference and make it Manhattan style clam chowder.icon_razz.gif

Well, day-am! I lubba grilled cheese sammich! Had my first in 1970, in a tiny diner in Muldraugh, Kentucky, just outside Fort Knox.

Used to ride my Harley there (the Army mess hall food was inedible), sit at the counter and watch the cook make my sammich right in front of me on the grill. Seriously, that's true, and I still love grilled cheese sandwiches. YUM! icon_biggrin.gif

Manhattan clam chowder, my favorite! My Boston partner & I have an ongoing dispute over clam chowder. He claims his New England creamy style is the only true clam chowder, and says my version is "just vegetable soup with clams" and refuses to call it chowder at all or to eat it.

So naturally whenever I'm with him in a restaurant that offers Manhattan, I make sure to order it. And use my strongest down-Maine accent, telling them I wanna bowl a' chow-dah which makes him hit me. LOL!!!!
