I think they're fun, often shallow and shameless flirting, but what's the harm in that?

I've participated and gotten a laugh....but G.A.Y. threads are the forum equivalent of "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall".

(Notwithstanding "would you change the colostomy bag of the G.A.Y.?" That was freakin' genius.)

They would be cool if the OPs would be creative in the title. Some have been cool and fun. Others have been just downright stupid and sophomoric.

they seem interesting for all of 3 seconds, not very creative, start out interesting , fade rapidly, the same few coming back over and over again, boring

I THINK think there should be 2 new forums

one for "the guy above you" threads

and other one for "I hate guy above you threads"

    facts:

1 out of 10 new threads dissapear from the first page in less than 48 hours. 9 out of 10 guy above you threads remain on the first page for more than 48 hours. I seriously believe the lack of creativity is somewhere else.

You could perhaps,...push the ignore button on all the bumpkins who respond to those threads. icon_neutral.gif

    They'd vanish in an instant!

A number of the topics here are seeking validation. It goes on and on, and is a direct reflectional of the low esteem of many guys here.

    E.g. recently.
    Do you think I'm skinny?

    Yes, man, you're tiny, EAT.

Why do you lash out? You're just jealous, and bitter, and a spiteful queen.

    E.g. recently.
    I'm fat, I've fallen and I can't get up.

Quit being such a fat ass, and fix yourself.

    You're mean.

The topics don't seek truth, often the best medicine. but, instead want validation / confirmation / unconditional approval for some underlying issue.

Subcultures (it's not unique based upon sexuality) often have those members who seek unconditional approval from others that they perceive as being part of that culture.

You have to set back and giggle at the behavior. Not much you can do about it, except maybe giggle a bit.

Is the G.A.Y. refusing to validate your narcissism or enable your psychosis?
