What is your favorite yoga or tai chi? I really like moving, I don't like just sitting indian style and meditating. I like dancing, stretching, and chanting.

Well, tai chi and yoga is for the mind. Dancing and moving is for the muscle. I do them both. Tai chi , yoga and meditation clear the clutter and the stress from our mind but physical exercise strengthening the heart and other muscle. You need them both to have balance in your life

Actually, Namaste Yoga is a very nice low impact workout. It's great for working the core muscles, as well as overall muscle strength and flexibility. It is a very nice way to incorporate mind, body and spirit. By the end of a session, one can feel very relaxed and centered as well.

    Ashtanga yoga all the way!

Not much on Tai Chi, though i've studied it. I'd much rather practice a hard style... not that soft styles don't have their placce.

    Hippie,

I agree, i could never just sit there and meditate. My mind tends to wander and i truly think that movement helps me to focus.

I did study Tai Chi for a while. It was more of a hard version, but i could make it softer by slowing down my breathing an movement. I did like having that flexibility. I always felt more relaxed after a class.

I've taken a few yoga classes at my gym, and i do like those. Again the movement and focused breathing are great. And it does make me feel more relaxed and looser.
