    Last spring I gained 10#-15# from April to June. I never really thought about it, but:

    The Celtics won the NBA championship. Ha!

    I watched every game. What's a fan to do? And I like beer.

    Advice welcome. I've already taken two factors off the table above.

    Here are some tips. Hope it helps.

    1. Find out how many calories you burn per day (here's a website you can use) http://walking.about.com/cs/calories/l/blcalcalc.htm
    2. Eat 500 calories less per day than what you burn.
    (This should help you lose 1 lb per week)
    3. Eat smaller meals (500 cal) plus a few snacks throughout the day
    (this will help a lot!)
    4. Cardio 3-4x per week 20 min.
    5. 100+ Situps every workout
    6. Workout gym 3-4x week

    Here's a site that helps if you want to calculate calories in the foods you eat

    It's a lot of stuff, but if you do it, you'll get great results quickly!
    I've been eating like the above for 6 weeks & have lost 10lbs.

    So let me understand you correctly. You want to avoid weight gain without addressing what you know that is causing the weight gain to begin with? Where is the logic in that one?

    You need to find a way to enjoy the game without overdoing the beer consumption. Maybe a glass of water between every beer, or only drinking beer one day a week and then going it the clean route for the games that are on the rest of the week.

    Thanks guys, especially the genius who pointed out that my reasoning is not logical. Haha. I guess I'm a real idiot for wanting my cake and eating it too (which was the underlying joke of the post).

    But the "alternate with water" suggestion is handy. :-)
