We've done Atlantis cruises twice (Alaska and the Baltic) and had a great time in both cases. We've made great friends that we have remained close with ever since!

I understand it can be a lot of little private orgies, depending on the random mix you get onboard, and the invites you get, but it's not like the entire pool deck is fucking like bunnies in the sun. We're looking at some now, because many of our friends are going while the cut-rate prices last. Some 3 and 4-day cruises are now less than $300 from here in South Florida, meals included.

My partner's been on many, on whose cruise experiences I rely, but I've never been on a gay one myself. I'd prefer a nude gay cruise, but those appear to be less frequent, especially out of Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale, or from Miami, which are conveniently near to us.

A lot of people imagine that these cruises are big floating bath-houses. That's NOT the case at all.

Remember that these are major cruise lines, with reputations to uphold. Also, they don't swap out the crew just for the gay cruises, so there are a lot of straight men and women on board. (note that some crew members do try to get assigned to the gay cruises because they're so much more fun, though)

Of course there is sex happening... but it's in private, and it's not a sex-club atmosphere.

I've been on them numerous times. Except for the first one, I always got sick with that weird illness that attacks cruise ship passengers (not sea sickness). I'm convinced that it's because you don't get fresh clean air in those cabins. If I went again, I'd get one of the top deck cabins with a balcony.

They charge twice as much for gay cruises.
Each successive cruise I was on, the entertainment was worse and worse, and the food was worse and worse.

The cruises I was on were all RSVP cruises. Maybe others would be better.
