True story from 1965, on the first day of my junior high school year. The teacher handed out index cards for the students to write their names and other info she requested. Then she collected the cards, and began to call out each of our names to get to know us, asking us questions about ourselves.
What she didn't know was that some wise-ass had filled out 2 cards and passed them both back, one with his own name, the other with a bogus. Finally she got to the phony name:
"Who's Dick Hertz?" she called out.
"Mine does!" came back this deep and heavily disguised male voice. The classroom erupted into laughter, and the poor teacher turned red-faced.
