Ya know what I hate, when you decide your gona be bad in gawd knows how long and with your wonderful coffee you order a double chocolate chip muffin.. ya know, a really good one, big chunks of chocolate, really tasty like..

AND THEY FUCKING MICROWAVE IT WITHOUT ASKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THey turn what was suppose to be a deliciously bad food item that I was allowing my slf to have.. into SHIT... this rubbery, hot SHIT.. it even Looks like SHIT..

I hate that.. I really do.. people who do that should die.. you don't warm up breads/cakes/biscuits/baked goods in the microwave.. you can put them in the oven to gently warm them.. but you NEVER EVER MICROWAVE!!!

These things should be banned from cafe's they are not a cooking implement, they are not a heating draw! They should be banned and these people who have not a clue should be smite.. they should be drawn and quartered.. they should be made to suffer like my gawd damned muffin suffered as it went from nice to SHIT!!!

    *growls*

bagels are a bit different.. a good bagel already has a slight soft chew to it, the water content is also rather high, when you microwave a bagel you do contribute mroe chew however for someone who's so used to microwaving them you wouldn't really notice that much..

However the difference between a fresh bagel and a microwaved one is huge..

*giggles @ GG* You are more then welcome to'em icon_razz.gif

Absolutely, they should ask 'Would you like that warmed up Sir?" For gawd sakes they ask about whipped cream, chocolate shavings and every other possible up-sell.

And just for the record, i'm not a muffin guy, but a cake, torte, danish pastry, mmmmmmm

You really haven't lived until you've asked for a free, freshly-glazed and still warm Krispy Kreme donut.

Not when it's fresh and warm outta the shop. I used to conveniently "finish" my runs in DC by a Krispy Kreme shop and pick up a warm one to obliterate my workout in one fell-swoop. It was delicious.

And that barfing face is slightly disturbing.

Don't go to Dunkin Donuts. Their corporate is very homophobic and racist. Back during the 08 election is was discovered that several execs at Dunkin were giving lots of money to crazy right wing PACs and various anti-gay initiatives.

Mmmmmmmmm, donut burgers!!! They were featured in an episode of The Boondocks call "The 'Itis" where Grandad opens up a soul food restaurant that specializes in food that will kill you. There is also a rumor that Paula Dean occasionally makes them for a snack between shooting episodes of her show. I got this from a former client who's stepson is on the crew and allegedly saw this take place.icon_lol.gif
