    Starring Miss California

    <object width=">

Should she lose the Miss California title over this?

Yay! Redneck bimbo gets the spotlight. Her mother must be thrilled.

I found this story about Miss California rather amusing:

I saw her on Pat Robertson's 700 Club on Thursday (I think).

Something tells me she is way more radical than anyone ever thought.

But I can't stand hilton either, and I think people like him hurt our cause. The ultra right is using his little vlog to attack the gay rights movemnet now.

she had nothing to do with the ad, so it would be unfair to take her title away for it.

Come on guys.. even Republican trophy wives-to-be have opinions, even if they are just regurgitations of what daddy or the boyfriend or the pastor have dictated to her.

now seeing the colbert report I see she has joined forces with NOM but that ad could have been put together without her knowledge

I hate to say it... but I'll say it anyways.

Sadly, the first 20 sec of that clip is not that far from the truth. How would we feel if someone "didn't win" a contest because they BELIEVED in same-sex marriage? And why would Hilton, the only one to personally write his own question, bring up that subject? Litmus test maybe?

And after seeing Joe Solomnese debate several times on tv shows/interviews, I have lost respect for him. I think the arguements he brings up are weak, poor and he doesn't ever seem to offer unbiased evidence to support his claims (i.e. his claims that NOM's ads are indeed false and/or stretched lies... evidence please).

I give to the HRC. I am unhappy with Joe though and his preformance. We need a stronger leader who offers facts and evidence instead of calling the right bigots.

Christians are now using that arguemnt against us. Christians are saying that we are bigots too for disrespecting their views and the views of Miss cali.

Are some gay people as bigoted as Christians? I believe so. We need to get back to the issues, stop insulting their views, and start exposing their views, beliefs, actions, and hypocritial lifestyle--but we need to do it in a respectful way.

The more rational we are, the more evidence we provide to the public, the more lies we expose, the more moderate people will support our cause.

    That's just how i feel.

What bothered me is in that first 20 seconds. When she made her statement there was a roar of approval.

She's won a position of role model and spokesperson of sorts.

What I think is funny is how Christians aren't upset about this lady parading her body around in a beauty pageant.

She might be against gay marriages but I wonder if she supports actually banning them?

It is entertaining vanity and also by showing off her body like that she is tempting others into sin like to fantasize about her naked committing adultery of the heart for example.

I don't think they could have found a more intelligent advocate for their position.

Anto, there's a large and vociferous crowd of christian extremists in the US that have managed to influence government to an inappropriate degree. They may think like that but the rest of us don't.

The main argument against her is that not very long ago a woman who paraded around in public flashing that much flesh would have been considered by Christians/conservatives the town whore or worse . . . and now she is a spokesmodel for the Right? That is indicative of how far the Right has lost its way . . . I blame Pat Buckley . . . and others too numerous to mention . . .

What bothers me about this one is the same thing that many of the other guys picked up on
Which is the beginning of the video
Should she be allowed to have her opinion?
    Absolutely she should

.... but it should have been left there
If Ms Hilton wouldn't have opened her fat big mouth
Miss California would have faded into silicon oblivion
but now she's a cause celeb for the right

A perfect response ad would show how in the 1960s Whites made the same kind of statements against Civil Rights and Inter-racial marriages and how defense ads and comments supporting segregation made the same claims about being called a bigot.
